Ladies what water based moisturizer do you use?

I use Suave Humectant conditioner as a water based moisturizer. The oil based moisturizers are terrible and don't do anything for most people I think. It doesn't moisturize the hair but just coats it with oil which doesn't penetrate the shaft of the hair.

Exactly. Like the Pantene R & N Oil Moisturizer and the Motions Oil Moisturizer. They are big doses of super suck.

I use a variety of water-based moisturizers: Garnier Length & Strength Leave-In Anti-Split Ends Treatment, Pantene Pro-V Daily Moisture Renewal Leave-In Comb-In Treatment, and I just ordered the Herbal Essences Break's Over Leave-In Strengthening Creme because I've heard very good things about it.

I also have used conditioners in the past as moisturizers with great results: Nexxus Phyto Organics Humectin, Garnier Length & Strength Fortifying Cream Conditioner, and V05 Moisture Milks Strawberries & Cream

I use products like that for sealing. I use my water based moisturizer and then top it off with an oil moisturizer. Sometime I wonder if that is overkill, but it really does help.

My moisturizer has been discontinued. :( I have a few bottles left though. It is the Loreal Vive anti-frizz leave in cream.

I think a good replacement is the Garnier Sleek and Shine leave in, but I don't really like the smell of it for daily use. So far it is the only product I can find that compares, though.

I use a mixture that is posted on Motowngirls website. 3oz water,1 oz.white rain or vo5,1/2 oz. castor oil. I also put essential oils in this mixture. peppermint, lavander, rosemary, and rosewater. I use in a spary bottle and shake, and I mix some up in an applicator bottle and apply if I have an itchy spot on my scalp.hth

my favorite water based moisturizer(water is the first ingredient) is ORS moisturizing lotion... yum yum to my hair strands!:p

ORS Olive Oil or ORS Carrot Oil

To seal, i use whatever grease or cheapie oil i can find..... ive even used vaseline..

This is similar to what I use as well. A concoction of water, conditioner, and castor oil in a spray bottle. I lightly spritz on my hair to moisturize.

Giovanni Direct Leave-in or NTM leave-in (I think I've read somewhere here that the NTM is better for relaxed hair though. I'm not sure)

Yeah. I finally got my mom to understand this after some time. I think most manufactures confuse oil with moisture and have "us" i.e. people of color going along thinking the same thing. Like we are actually doing something beneficial for our hair strands.

If my hair is wet I use QP Mango Butter or LIV. If it’s dry I use NTM Silk or Generics Humectress conditioner. I think the first ingredient in all of them is water but I’m not sure.
