Ladies that diy kinky twist

I suggest doing a LHCF search on kinky twists and a You Tube search. Since your questions are very general they have been answered B4 in better detail than I or anyone could provide by simply giving your 3 requested responses :)

Hi, I was thinking about doing my hair in kinky twist again soon. The first time I did them, I started with a braid. I think thats how I will do them this time too if I do them again. I think that It does look better if you start off with a twist but I dont know how and It seems like its hard because I've been braiding hair since I was 13 and still havent gotten the hang of it.

But if you do it with the braid It will still look nice. Just try not to braid too far down and the braid will barely be noticable.

I think It would be good to wash your hair first because You may not want to wash it anytime soon once the braids are up for fear of slipping and frizz.
Also i think, the less product on your hair the better you will be able to get a good grip:)

here is a picture of mines starting with a braid..

Synthetic kanekalon type hair is good. Brand name is not as important. If your scalp is sensitive, I'd do an ACV bath on the hair first, air dry the hair, and then proceed to braid. BeautifulBrwnBabyDol has a couple of helpful YouTube videos you might want to check out on the kinky twists. I've found that starting the twist with a braid helps secure the twist better (although I prefer the look of starting with a twist). Just braid down about an inch and then starting twisting away.
