In my newbie thread... started almost a year ago... I told you ladies if I didn't see my desired progress I would blow LHCF up.

Here's a reference in case you ladies forgot.

http://www.longhaircareforum.com/showthread.php?t=484832

-__- I've been hoovering bra-strap/MBL length. I CLEARLY wanted to be full MBL by this time. Yall better HOPE I get 2 inches of growth in the month of July... or bye-bye LHCF.

plus... PLUS.. yall have the AUDACITY to go around, swingin your perfectly tamed, split-endless, uber moisturized, "strands with the circumference of rope" like MBL-WSL-HL hair in your siggys! I'm sorry... but you ladies leave me no choice. Its outta my hands!

Kaboom LHCF. Ka-Boom.
:gorgeous:=======>>> :burning:

.....
:look:
...
unless... uhhh... someone can give me methods or products that keep their hair moisturized throughout the week to reduce my breakage? Heh. That would uhh... completely change this "blowing up" thing that I'm threatening you guys with.
How are yall retaining?

Your hair is beautiful (lookin at your siggie) so don't you dare blow anything up :lachen:

My hair is fine. Its right now shoulder length curly because of all the shrinkage

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!?!?!
I just cut out the last of the Tangle Teezer damage so I'm back between SL and APL but I will be cowashing and wet bunning in hopes of retaining most of this hair by the end of the year!
If I'm not back at APL by December, I'M blowing ish up!
:lachen:

ETA: And ITA with Boston. Your hair is beautiful!

:peek2: goes off to hide ....j/k

I hope you get your inches girl! It's summer a lot of ppl have a summer growth spurt maybe you will too. Regardless your hair is gawjus!:grin:

LOL -- Boston Maria . Firstly, thank you for the compliment, love! As my hair idol, I am currently wiping the drool from my keyboard. :lick:
Ur hair is R I D I C U L O U S .
HOWEVER -- As You are partially the reason LHCF is about to go up in smoke with your gorgeous locks mocking me, I'm taking my emotions out of this.

I'm trying to do the curly during the summer thing too, but my wet n go's curl up too much? I get knots galore. Plus it doesn't stay moisturized...I cowash with VO5 and seal with evoo. Am I missing something?

LOL FINALS are NO joke. I had to banish myself from LHCF before I became a professional college student.
Oh no! I'm sorry for your setback Dimples!! I've always been jealous of how quickly your hair seems to grow tho... so i'm sure it'll be back in no time

And at the highly unlikely chance that its not back by Dec... Happy I got a blow up buddy!!! lmaaaaooooo :lachen:

Your post made me smile, you are my kinda silly. I don't have any advice for you, I'm having the same issues myself. Your hair looks great in your siggy btw.

Girl, Imma need you to stop complaining about your long natural hair or we gonna get Medea on ya'...OK:rolleyes::lachen:

So you stuck with all the bunnin' and cowashin' and such? I can tell you that bunning gives me the length. I don't even bun 24-7, just most days. I don't know how well this goes over in terms of LHCF rules, but I'd say if you're having dryness issues throughout the week, co-wash more often and seal. That's all I got. and a :bighug:

:giggle: NaturalBeauty<3, your post had me LOL too!

you know your hair is FABULOUS..settin' off some other peoples bombs I'm sure!

Hey have you tried bunning? I'm not nearly the length you are, but it helped get me over some length hurdles when I seemed to be making no progress.

It's all good, girl. Stuff happens. I prefer these uber fresh ends and the more blunt-ish cut anyway :lick:
And all I know is... if this so-called fast-growing hair (idk where you got that from! :perplexed) doesn't make it do what it do by December, we can definitely go halvsies on the TNT!
But seriously, your hair will be fine. It's gorgeous!

:takecover: I usually get my most retention in the summer in comparison to the other seasons. I always think of Summer as being more complex because I can't straighten my hair (not that I want to anyway), and most styles just swell in the humidity. So I stick to simple hairstyles like wash n gos and braid outs. And surprisingly by September I look at my hair like:"...hello inches, where did you come from? Nice to meet you..."

lol Just moisturize, seal, and baby your hair and you should have nooo problems. :yep::yep:

lmbooo!! thank you ! Maybe my hair is uhhh... getting used to my products or
something because cowashing and bunning isn't helping like it used to. Plus, i'm bunning loosely, not to cause damage, so idk what else it could be.

Sounds EXACTLY like what I do. My sunmer regimen is cowash-seal-bun. What the h am i doing wrong?!

hmmm how often are you guys clarifying?

^^^For realsies! If this ain't the most pot-callin'-the-kettle-black-enist things I ever seen LOL :spinning: ...*grumble*.....*grumble*....*walks off*.....

eta: I love AO HSR con as a leave-in. I make a spritz with it (5 parts water to 1 part condish). That combined with tucking my ends away and keeping my hair out of the sun and away from brushes/combs has stopped my breakage in its tracks. Gotta preserve those ends if you want them to last for years!

OP you are crazy!LOL I don't know about you but V05 makes my hair dry as the desert after cowashing. I really like the Suave naturals coconut. I've been cowashing lately and its really helping with moisture. I just co wash apply moisturizer, seal with a little coconut oil and bun. In the a.m. I take the bun down and my hair has a little wave to it.

My hair's on track I am sticking to my regimen well.

Weekly overnight oil prepoo, wash and DC alternating moisture and protein (more protein though), wet wrap under the dryer. I wear my hair pinned in different styles usually with side bangs, moisturise lightly nightly and seal with EVOO/ almond oil mix wrap on alternate sides.

I'm sure you'll get to MBL soon your hair looks great

:look:

*starts collecting supplies for bomb shelter just in case*

LMBO!!!! Signs of a PJ... smh.

@NaturalBeauty<3  :bouncy: I missed you, girl! You so silly, fool! :lachen:

How often do you shampoo or clarify? Are you bunning in the same places when you cowash?

My Hannan!!!!! I missed you foo!!! lmbooo!
I tryyyy to clarify at least once a month... maybe I should up if since I cowash so much? Myb every two weeks... or does that seem like too much?
Gaaaah, its like my hair out of the blue became immune to what was getting me to my lengths before.

LOL!!! you are so SILLY!!!
OH! u reminded me..thats another thing...maybe i should cut out the brushes? combs are a negative for me when my hair is in its curly state anyways... *sigh* . I'm frustrated.

I love suave too! I haven't used it in a while... i'm going to switch back to suave coconut and see if I notice a difference in my hair. Thanks for the reminder love!!!

Hello your post made me lol

ugghm I don't think I qualify as an LHCF hall of famer but what has helped me a lot with keeping my hair moisturized is ....dc'ing weekly (I try), co-washing (mostly in the summer) and using a leave in conditioner (I use the Kimmay recipe but substitute with Cantu Shae Butter Leave In). Oh and I usually seal with Elast QP Olive and Mango Moisturizer (It's so thick that it seals well for my hair)....I hope this helps and ......................please................................please don't blow up LHCF...I haven't reached my goal yet lol

Umm. I just wanna say please don't blow anything up until I reach my 1 year nappiversary so I can make a thread and show it off! Put down the sticks of dynamite, the gasoline, and the matches until AT LEAST March 2012! On a side note: OP, your hair is b-e-a-UTIFUL!

Thank you ladies for the compliments!! lol Yall are silly

Are you deep conditioning? That might be something you want to try.

I consistently DC'd normally in the colder months... but since I'm already cowashing daily I don't want to over moisturize my hair.

Maybe my hair is in the dormant stage? :ohwell: I haven't noticed more breakage that normal, I'm just not reaching the lengths as quickly as I did before.

Lol@ blowing stuff up. Your hair is beautiful and long. I mean if you don't get the inches, you can cut it all off and start again. Plus you can send me your hair so I can make me a nice wig... j/k...

lmaaaaooo!!!
I see LHCF takes my threat lightly. -__- Mocking me and such.

I'm going to try clarifying more often. Then cowashing and sealing daily until prob Sept-October range. Then perhaps breakage will slow and I'll see some MBL scraping come August. If i don't... kiss your products goodbye, ladies.
