Ladies I need your prayers I just cut my hair so badly...

Well the title says it all. A month ago I was putting my hair into mini twists and as I was going strand by strand I noticed my ends felt rough. Not even thinking to hard about it, I picked up my scissor and cut every twist as I did it until it felt blunt and smooth. I just took my hair down today and it is noticeably uneven. I don't mean like I put layers in uneven, I mean like one side is longer than the the other in the back and front. There is about a 1/2 inch difference between the front comparing both sides and 1/2 inch to an 1inch difference in both sides in the back. Now ever since I was a little girl my hair has been way longer in the front then in the back. The back of my hair is a bit past bra strap length and the front shortest is collar bone and the longest is 1/2 in to an 1 inch past that. Like it is now, unless it is in a braid out it will be very noticeable.

Now I know your going to suggest getting a cut to even it all out but here is the thing. I am broke, like broke broke. I am in college and determined not to take out any loans during my 5 year stint and so far so good. I work 2 jobs and 80% of it goes towards my tuition. I cannot afford it right now. I am currently on month 2 of a 6 month crown and glory protective styling challenge meaning im keeping my hair in braids for 6 months redoing them every month.

When I took my hair down today I was just so upset at how uneven my hair is now. I had to take deep breaths and remind myself it was just hair and it would grow back. It was going to be out of sight for the next 5 months so I wont have to worry about it for a while. Still though... I needed a minute. Has this happened to any of you before? What have you done about it? Any suggestions?

I've had a situation in which I got micros and the braider ( I didn't know any better at the time) used glue on my hair and when the braids were taken down my hair was very uneven. Since you are in braids the uneven hair will be out of sight out of mind. But eventually you will have to get it cut. I know you don't have much money but maybe you have a trusted friend who could even it up for you. Or do some shopping around. Some of the best haircuts I've ever had were less than $20.

Hugs! I bet by the time you take your braids down in five months it won't be too noticeable. Maybe your shortest will be APL and then you'll have a U-shape.
