O.k. right about now my hair is getting on my nerves.....I would really like to know (especially from the long haired ladies, bs and longer) about the BEST DETANGLING conditioners you have used. No matter what the smell or the consistency was, I'm just concerned about the detangling effect at the moment. I'm a little desperate, cause I used to love LUST serum. It really did an amazing job at detangling in the beginning. But now, it seems to me as if it don't work like it used to anymore. Or maybe it's because I need to go and buy a new bottle of clarifying shampoo and wash about 3 times so my hair is squeaky clean. However, keep the recommmendations coming ladies...

take care everybody,

Nay:)

Nay, you might like to try Lotus Powder Plus.
This is what I did:
2tbs LPP, mixed into a paste with a little tepid water;
2tbs grape seed oil;
2 tbs of cholestral conditioner
mix together, and apply to wet hair from the roots to the ends. leave in for about an hour, and rinse. Then apply conditioner for a few minutes, and rinse- You might like to add more of the ingredients, since your hair is long. Also, the consistency of the LPP and the amount of time left in your hair will determine the results (i.e. thinner LPP paste and less time= less detangling). LPP did AWESOME wonders for my tangled hair- Hope this helps.

Oh, PS, I almost forgot, In addition to the AWESOME detangling results, LPP strenghtens the hair PROGRESSIVELY, every time it's used.

These are the best detangling conditioners for my hair (that I've used so far):

* L'Oreal Nature's Therapy Mega Moisture Nurturing Crème
* L’Oreal Nature’s Therapy Unfrizz Smoothing Treatment
* Pantene Daily Moisture Renewal Conditioner (or any other Pantene Conditioner)
* Suave Professionals BIOBASICS Conditioner - (knock-off of BIOLAGE Conditioning Balm)

Nay007,

Aren't you transitioning? If so, how much new growth do you have? Maybe some of the other ladies that are transitioning can help you out too.

NAY -

Aussie Slip always detangled my hair really well. So did Pantene, Feria Color Conditioner, and of course my leave ins...

Are you still using Infusium? I love Infusium but when I get post wash tangled hair, if I lose the Infusium and switch to something different (Aussie Insurance is also a good detangler and is a leave in - I know you like Aussie that's why I'm pushing these..

) it helped the problem immediately.

How about the Pantene Leave In? You were using that too yes? That also worked beautifully on me for a while and then - tangles.

I think that LUST is very moisturizing and gives slip.
Keracare Humecto is good a detangling !

allandra,

yes i'm transitioning, i usually don't measure my hair, but it is past bra strap and i think i have about 5 inches new growth...hmmm maybe more or less, i'm not sure. sorry girl. but i know i'm getting closer to my goal:) i haven't had any problems with the transitioning itself though. i remember when i was natural i used to use pantene too. and since you mentioned it today i bought me the sleek and smooth. gosh, i don't even remember when i bought that the last time...:) i will try it soon though. but as i already stated, i think i need to do a thorough clarifying wash:):):) thanks girl!

tracy,

you are right, i do like aussi, that's why i gave the insurance leave in a try. i was soo pissed cause it didn't do anything for my hair. and it didn't detangle at all. i do like the three minute miracle though. i haven't really tried any other products from that line cause they don't sell it over here:(
i still use infusium leave in, but i dilute it with water. i think it makes my hair stronger but i don't think the infusium leave in is a good detangler. i do like the infusium conditioner. i remember that it was pretty detangling. but that was a while ago too....
i might just buy that one again too, i'll see but thank you tracy:)

britt,

i haven't used the LUST conditioner yet, only the serum, maybe i should give it a try. thanks.

KeraCare Humecto is the best detangler for my hair. Aussie Slip also worked pretty good too. however, i definitely think you should start with a clarifying shampoo... even before you invest in more conditioners. that might be all that you need.

NAY, I'm transitioning and have about 4 inches of new growth. I've found that nothing detangles for a leave-in as well as the Biolage Leave-In tonic. For detangling conditioners, I like Kenra Moisturizing Conditioner, Aussie Moisturizing Conditioner, and most recently Suave Humectant.
