what can i do/use to grow my center nape area .im sooo frustrated....the left and right nape grows nicely but the center is almost bald. i do not know what caused this.
Now im natural so when i twist my own hair it is so obvious.ive evn contemplated shaving the back but i dont know how it would look since the rest of my hair is about 6inches.
First all the front of my hair and crown area is strictly 4b. the sides and left/right nape is 4a. that center back nape is 2c. straight cant even hold a twist so i dont bother twisting it like the rest of my hair i have to braid it.
What to do what to do?
Also i just took out 2 week old kinky twists that i did myself. I deep conditioned for 8 hrs with olive, jojoba oil, honey , africa's best hair mayo and lekair cholesterol. my hair was so soft after sinsing ou. I always use CON shampoo. why for the life of me did i use breakthrough shampoo (i know, cos the last time i used it i had no problems). my hair was a knotty mess. i guess i cos i didnt detangle my hair?
or should i just swear of all shampoos except CON?

here are pics

It was a "bald spot" at the top of my hair that lead me here. My hair was near armpit length and I decided to use Dark and Lovely "Auburn" and Garnier SPRITZ! Needless to say, 1 1/2 years later my hair is black and shoulder length (but pretty healthy, thank God)! But that spot, well it was the length of a brush cut after this. My crown never really grows much, nor does it retain much length... But I found heavy scalp stimulation and moisture has given it a big boost. HTH!!

De nada! I also realized I didn't state how I stimulated the scalp! I (don't laugh!!) was in gymnastics for years, so I burst out handstands and keep my nails long and massage my scalp vigorously!! A lot of people recommend the infamous MTG, but I can't vouch for the validity of any claims! I am getting ready to get some off eBay for my dry scalp, though!!

Hey scarcity21: I just took a quick look at your pics and I see that you use a scarf as a headband. I think perhaps the knot in the center back could be the cause of your thin/bald patch. I have probs with my nape region too. I wore a headscarf for a few months (pre-LHCF, when I was doing a "stretch" before I knew decent haircare practices) and my nape was wrecked after I stopped wearing it, with the center section being thinner and more broken thanks the the knot resting there. Maybe you should ease off the scarf or consider getting a full hair band instead to avoid the knot pressure altogether. Keep it extra moist for good measure; that helped me gain some of my nape hair back (I used JA black castor oil). Good luck.

Is it possible the 2c part is being over-processed when you get a relaxer?
Imean diff. hair types and thickness, coarseness/thinness needs diff times. hth
