Ladies I have won the war on bad/split ends!!!!!!!

You remember when I talked about starting a personal challenge to see where I would be a month from now by treating my ends with care by keeping them hidden either under a scarf or tucking them in under my hair, well today the month is over and I must say not only have I experienced growth and those horrible layers are finally growing out but my ends are in fantastic shape. I used the split ender on christmas eve which cut off only 1/8 of an inch. I am happy to say that I checked my ends this evening and only found 2 visible (TINY at that) splits. I was so afraid because we had some freezing weather this past week and my hair does not react well to extreme cold. If my growth rate keeps up by christmas this year hopefully I will be at or close to bra strap!

I keep products to a min. The ONLY time my hair ever sees oil or heat is when my hairdresser hot combs it which is once every four weeks(I have 4A virgin hair) I do not own any oils anymore (I tossed them!) I use the pro-vitamin treatment capsules twice a day and saturate my ends and distribute it through my hair and it does not weigh it down. I use a scarf , a comb and some bobby pinds to keep it pinned in and that's it. I used to use spritzer to make my hair shiny but I tossed that too. I use surge on my edges now I just started back because I have been lazy but due that the surge is a liquid, my edges have already reverted back some (as you can tell in the first pic) but it is working.

Keeping a picture journal was the best idea for me because I was so surprised when I compared the before piicture today. I look at my hair all the time and its hard to tell its gowing when I stare at it all the time.

This is also a personal challenge for me,i haven't won the war yet against those suckers

I would love to hair more about the split ender! I want the split ender, just like I want every new gadget that comes out. But I would never take the chance with my hair!
