I've been asking because I can't find the exact answer in the search function. I am confident you ladies can help me.

I want to highlight my hair, but after a mishap with a stylist I would rather have my cousin who perms my hair do it for me. Is it better to use a highlighting kit or to just use the highlighting cap and put something like texture and tones on the portion I want colored?

If you ladies suggest a home highlighting kit.. which one is best?

I really need you ladies to please answer me because this is the time for me to do it in between touch-ups.

I would say go with the highlighting cap and textures and tones. I have heard a lot of bad things about highlighting kits. Particularly the one by Africa's Best or Africa's Pride... (not sure of the exact kit name).

I would think the most important thing is the color you're putting in. A lot of people have gotten good results from T n T with less damage and dryness.

Sorry please don't be mad at me.:knight: But I think I remember you saying a while back that you were having issues with dry hair? If it wasn't you then please disregard what I am about to say.

But I think you should make sure you get the moisture issues with your hair together first. I had highllights and they were the worse thing that I have ever did to my hair. My hair thinned something horrible. Please make sure you hair is ready first.

lol... thanks 4 the concern, but that wasn't me... my hair is pretty healthy right now which is why I want to find the least damaging way of getting cinnamon brown highlights..
