Ladies a question about braid hair

i am getting braids, is 14in long enough to reach the top of my back? I would like the braids to be a little bit above bsl.

I think you may need a little longer, because the hair is going to be shorter when you braid it anyway. So I would say 18 will let it fall where you wish.

When I braid I fold the hair exactly in half so I usually know the length I'll wind up with. I know not everyone folds hair in half, so it depends on how they'll be braiding. A friend of mine actually folds just an inch. So maybe the braider would be the best person to ask.
