I have the hardest time sticking to things when it requires extra effort, lol. I mean vitamins...I cannot stick to taking them faithfully for more than 3 weeks, and I'm guaranteed to miss at least one day. Products you apply to the scalp like scalp massages with essential oils, forget it, I'll do it for a few days, but it's such an extra step that I cannot stand. Plus I have a hard time fitting it in to my regular frequent washing and my styling regimen. Keeping a regular deep conditioning schedule...I'd love to do it faithfully once a week, but I forget, put it off, get really busy, and go sometimes 3 WEEKS without doing it.
It seems the only thing I can stick to when it comes to my hair is washing frequently (conditioner washes with a shampoo once a week to every week and a half) and I guess that's because I get in the shower everyday, lol. Also, not going without some type of leave in and moisturizer in my hair.
I completely lack discipline when it comes to implement beneficial things into my hair care regimine. Fortunately the things I've mentioned are "extra" steps rather than necessary ones (with the exception of more regular deep conditioning treatments). I just wish I had some of the focus and dedication some of you have to stick to things. The main bad thing about it is that these habits also spill over into other aspects of my life outside of hair care, so I do want to get a better hold of this "flakiness" I'll call it.
I'm sure I'm not the only one with this problem, lol.
