Komaza Care Hair Nourishment Oil Review

Okay, I was really excited about this oil. It has everything you could possibly want in it. Horsetail, gotu kola, amla, etc. The kitchen sink. The base is jojoba oil.

IT STINKS! The review I read of the oil said that it should smell like baby-powder, but it smelled just like Amla oil, very off-putting and it never subsides. I put some on and immediately felt my scalp wake up, but after leaving it on overnight my scalp became incredibly sore. I have no idea why my scalp hurt so bad, but I washed, mainly due to the smell, and reapplied less and went to sleep, woke up sore again.

Customer service is not that great. It is packaged beautifully and I received my order relatively quickly, but there was no confirmation and no communication once I emailed to ask about a confirmation. Then, I emailed a few days ago to ask about my scalp soreness and still haven't received a response.

Based on the smell and the soreness, this would either grow a whole lot of hair or make you lose all of it. SO1913 used it with what appeared good success, so that's what made me give it a go. Not sure I can take the smell without washing my hair daily.

I love Komaza care's products. The reason your head is tender is the product has sulfur in it. I got amazing growth with it. I also added Ylang Ylang and Rosemary to cut the smell.

Wait! I don't think I've ever used this line, lol. I just checked it out trying to refresh my memory (I know I try a whole bunch of stuff, lol) and although it seems interesting enough, I've never tried any of these products. You may be confusing me with another member. Please keep us in the loop of how it works for you!

Sorry girlie, I thought it was you.

So, I ordered again and it is safe to say that it doesn't smell as bad as the first. I still wash my hair if I know that I am going to be around a lot of people or have someone close. I must have gotten a very potent batch. And my head doesn't hurt anymore. I was using too much I think.

I am in braids now and I think I am getting much faster growth than before. I haven't measured, but I am constantly having to redo my braids now.

I wonder if we could get an LHCF discount from them?

That would be so nice.

Sometimes Afrokinks will haev 10 - 20% off Komaza products, but with their shipping prices (to me in MD, at least) it is worth it to just buy direct. I could use a discount code.

I have been using the Shea Butter Hair lotion as my leave in. :lick:

I'm not ordering from Afrokinks anymore, check my vendor review. I've had two mediocre experiences with them. She's great on follow-up, but there shouldn't be a need for so much afterorder work.

Yes I did see you review and I think I have to agree.

Yeah, she does have great follow up, but you are right - overall it was mediocre.

I was happy about her followup when I had trouble with my order, but it took forever to get to me and I thought it was just this one time. Hearing other mediocre experience, has made me stop buying from her. My last order was direct from Komaza. It was a little more, but I figured it was better.

I think next time, if I don't get a discount from Komaza, I will order in bulk to get free shipping.

I'm using Komaza Care products and all I can say is the customer service is fantastic. I get a confirmation when my order is placed, but not when the order is shipped. Why? Rene using priority mail and most people I know receive their orders in 2 days and that's with the products being shipped from California. I also like her flat rate shipping fee. I've also called and talked directly to Rene using her 877 number---please note that she operates on PST and closes at 4:30pm (1630) PST.

I did make suggestions to her about the web site but no complaints on customer service from me and I'm a pretty hard cookie to please.

That's odd. I never called, but I emailed several times and never got a return email. Even after these months.
