good question as I am thinking of getting them too when I'm 6 weeks post so that I can stretch my next relaxer to 12 weeks.

I do know that Sareca was wearing them often, I'm going to check out her Fotki and see what her regimen was she wore them.

I like kinky twist, because they get my hair off of my mind.
Pros: easy to do
Lots of styles possibilities
good protective style
Cons: They get fuzzy (esp if natural) much quicker than individual braids
As with any style where hair is added, your hair underneath can get dried out

My regime: daily spray with braid spray, and leave in. Apply BT every other night, and coat ends ( of my real hair) with castor oil. Also before I put them in I coat my hair with cantu break defense, and leave in. My hair stay super moist until I take them out.

ETA: I wash mine every week, but I rinse almost everyday, b/c I work out, and then tie them down b4 bed

I have some now.

Pros-

Protective style so that I don't have to worry about the appperance of my hair while taking care of it.

Cute style.

Easier and quicker take down.

Cons-

Can't think of to many styling optons but I'm Ok with that because I don't want to pull my hair to tight and pop it.

I enjoyed them when they were in but when I took them out, that was a hassel.

Pros: I don't have to be concerned with doing my hair. Can make cute styles with them.

Cons:
1. For me, When I washed my hair, the oils from my scalp would get stuck in where my hair and the extension joined.
2. At the salon, when they are finished they burn the synthetic hair portion that sticks out (to make it smooth). I was afraid they might burn some of my hair.
3. As your hair grows out the twist get heavy. (The longest I've kept them were 6 weeks).
4. Taking them out can be a pain. My hair would start to matt at the connection point of the braid. Trying to detangle was difficult.
