My daugther uses their products since she is natural and she reallys likes the shine she gets and the curl definition.
Shes uses Come Clean, Knot Today and Curling Custard.

3 suggestions:
Make sure you apply on hair that has a good amount of leave in
Make sure you follow the directions exactly
Remember for this product that a little goes a long way

It gives great hang time and it smells sooo good.

I highly recommend this product!

I agree with BrockStar 100%. I was starting to think the Curly Custard didn't work for me because my hair was drying crunchy, but you just need a good amount of leave in and not too much CC. My hair loves it now! Very defined curls and it eliminated some of my shrinkage.

how do you guys get around having the product flake in your hair?

everytime i use it (regardless of how much leave in i use, if my hair is wet or dry and keep in mind i am using a small amount) the stuff makes me look like i have dandriff. i had a few embarrassing moments with this stuff erplexed

the only thing that did help with the flaks is when i used oil after the curly custard. but by the end of the day my hair felt on the dry side.

I love the Spiral Spritz and the Knot Today leave-in. I usually spray my freshly washed and conditioned hair with the SS, then apply the KT to sections. Then spray again with the SS and let my hair airdry. I get soft and defined curls with this. I find that using the KCCC is an overkill for my hair, it causes my curls to shrink (yikes...) However, I will use it on extremely humid days.

I do not like the shampoo though, its drying to my hair for some reason. It gives it like a squeaky clean feeling, which i don't like. I won't be repurchasing that.

I only tried the knot today for detangling. It was bleh. Also bleh as a leave-in. I gave my bottle away.

Not a fan of the Knot Today. Don't even know what it does that's SO different from any other regular leave-in. I typically use the Curling Custard over Giovanni Direct and it works GREAT! For me so far, it's the best product I've used for multiday hair (meaning, it doesn't take rewetting it to get next day hair). I've gotten as much as 5 days out of one application of KCCC. At the most, I have to spritz it lightly with a little water/conditioner mix to revive it. I have only had to do a few minor touch ups in one week. I've also used it for sets (coilouts, braidouts, twistouts, flexirod sets). It worked well for all of these.

the creator of Kinky-Curly used it stated somewhere on her site that you can use VO5 Strawberries n Cream in place of the Knot Today, so maybe you can save some $ by just buying to custard to begin with. I have all of the products and I'd say they are OK. I use it every now and then.
