I voted Nexxus Keraphix. I have never used the other product but I know that Keraphix does a great job.

nexxus keraphiz works for me weekly. Aubrey only works for me in the first two weeks after a touch up. I would say keraphix is good to use with fresh relaxers or post 10 weeks relaxer for me.

Ok I think I'm going to have to go with GPB for now. I use Keraphix mix last week and GPB yesterday and GPB is just better. At least it makes the hair texture feel so much better than Keraphix. I think I'm going to test this to see if it helps make my hair stronger and then I will definitely know. Keraphix makes my hair strong and healthy but it doesn't give me that silky feeling like GPB.

GPB is just wonderful. I have no problem with the fragrance. It seemed strong at first, though, so maybe I am just used to it. Once my hair is rinsed and dried with my leave-ins, my hair smells wonderful!

I chose Keraphix myself b/c that is the only one i've tried and my hair got so much healthier after using it. I'm now wondering if the GPB would be even better and from the looks of this poll, it looks like it may be, but then I looked at the reasons ppl said it was better and it's mainly b/c it makes your hair softer, moisturized, and gives more slip?

That appealed to me at first, but then I thought to myself that this isn't what I really want in a reconstructor. I'm not looking for a good moisturizing conditioner. I'm looking for a reconstructing one, one that will decrease damage, make my hair stronger, and make my overall hair health a whole lot better.

Not that I am putting down GPB or anything, I am just confused b/c I'm always a fan of anything that can improve my hair and if GPB can do that then I'm dropping keraphix like a hot potato, but I want to be sure.

Does anyone (who has used both) know for sure that the GPB definitely improves the health and strength of your hair BETTER than keraphix? Like have you noticed less breakage, fewer spilt ends, etc?--- I'm asking on a general level-- I know what works for others might not always work for me, but I want to get an idea.

i'm asking b/c my hair seems to be starting to break a little and I haven't used keraphix in a while and may want to start up again, but if GPB is better, than I'll go for that.

I only want the best for my hair!!! :yep:

Mys, the reason I mentioned the slip of the GPB at all is because its a plus. To me a protein conditioner making your hair feel strong is to be expected, so I didn't give extra points for that (the "I take care of my kids" train of thought). They both made my hair feel stronger, but the slip from the GPB makes it exceptional:).

I've used both for years and love them whenever I need "soft" protein but if I just HAD to choose, I'd say Keraphix hands down -- just love it, either alone (I don't need to follow with a moisturizer) or in a 50/50 mix with humectress. Leaves my 4b hair strong and smooth. IMO, GPB is not as strengtening as keraphix, but it's pretty darn good. Also, these two conditioners have different proteins so perhaps it's not fair to compare - may depend on which proteins your hair likes best:

Keraphix proteins are: keratin amino acid & hydrolyzed collagen
GPB 's proteins are: amino acids (cysteine cystine methionine) & milk protein

I'm interested in using the Aubrey GPB because of all of the reviews but can someone tell me what GPB stands for...:perplexed:

Thanks for that info!! :) I didn't realize that... I guess it's probably good to use them both every now and then to make sure your hair is getting ALL types of protein (it can't hurt, anyway!! )

I say Keraphix. I never could get over the smell of GPB. And I find in general it's much harder to get your hands on and keep on hand.

Hmm interesting info... i guess if i had to let go of my Nexxus, I'd go for the Aubrey Organics GPB

I would have to go with Keraphix b/c i've never tried GPB...no but really...it works so well for my hair...my hair loves it.

I've always wanted to give GPB a try...maybe someday I'll look into it.

Been using GPB since my relaxed days, now during my transition, and will continue when fully natural. This stuff gives as much slip as my Elucence con. and I happen to like the smell :look:

i've tried both and my vote goes for the nexxus. the other one made my hair mushy and it didn't feel as strong.

Interesting....I just got my little "Try Me out" size of GBP and looks like I have a winner! :) can't wait to try it...

Hotshot,Carlie,
I use the same combo Elucence and GPB I am glad we all get great results.

hi LABETT,

do you mind me asking if whether or not you use heat with this? If so, for how long?

thanks in advance

I have never tried AO, but Keraphix is the bomb to me. I didn't vote because I didn't want to bias the survey.

GPB worked wonders when I was natural.

I voted Kerephix althought it might be a mind thing, because I believe in cermaids.

I have both but voted for GPB. I think the quality of AO conditioners is much better than that of Nexxus for deep conditioning. When I use Keraphix, i usually mix it with somthing else to get the results I want. I don't need to add anything to GPB. JMHO.
