Kenra or Joico

For the most part, I have used black hair products, but after reading so many reviews about these two lines, I want to try them. I also used Nexxus Therappe and Humectress and didn't like either one of them!! The conditioner provided no slip. That's why I am so hesitant to try "white" lines because I heard so many good things about those two products, but they didn't do a thang for me.

I have tried Keracare (which I seem to love the best, but refuse to pay an arm and a leg due to S&H every time I run out), Loreal Nature's Therapy, Creme of Nature Shampoo (liked, but scalp always itches after 2 days), CON Conditioner (didn't like;no slip) among others and recently bought Mizani Moisturefuse Conditioner. It did okay, but still didn't provide that silky, moisturized feeling that I like.

I want a line that is soooooooooooooooo moisturizing that I won't be able to take it (ok...I will, but u know what I mean!). Out of these two lines, which one provides ultimate moisture, slip, shine as well and protection for growing hair? And do each of the conditioners have protein?

Thanks in advance for the help! :)

I've never tried any Joico products so I can't answer that one.
But Kenra is really good. I used the Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner last summer when I was stretching to 21 weeks and it gave my hair incredible moisture and made my new growth easy to comb through and detangle. I think you should definetly give it a try, but email Kenra (kenra.com) and ask for samples of it first, because they send nice size tubes that you can get at least 2 full uses out of. The only reason I dont use this stuff regularly is because I have to drive all the way into the city to find it. I dont remember if Kenra MC has protein in it, it might have Hydrolyzed Silk.. but I"m not sure.

Another good conditioner (not Kenra or Joico) is Paul Mitchell SuperCharged Moisturizer. There's a thread floating around here on it. It should be on the first page. There are ingredients listed on the last page of that thread. HTH

KENRA!!! It will make your hair so soft, easy to comb, elastic, and it smells like coconuts. I use it as a deep conditioner, rinse, and leave in. It contains hydrolyed wheat protein. I recommend this conditioner to anyone with kinky/curly hair.

I have not tried Joico but I started using KENRA after I joined the forum and I am very pleased!! KENRA is now a definite staple product for me.

Joico is the best in the industry. I do work in entertaiment field it is next best thing to Sebastian hair products. Joico K-PAk line is better because it is for people with thick or texurize hair. I think the K-Pak line is to die for, I am sure about their other products they may be made for different hair types but the K-PAK will leave hair super soft. Kenra came out later but is not up in the hair industry past Joico K-Pak. The rich blacks in LA rave about Joico K-Pak line all the time.
