I finally got my K-Cutter (I love that thing!!!!) and I was wondering if anyone has had one break. Mine hasn't but the handle is made of a not so sturdy plastic and seems as if it will break if I don't hold it a certain way.

I haven't used it enough for that to happen (I just bought mine last week), gut the plastic handle did seem a bit flimsy to me. I think Irristible uses this comb all the time, so she might be able to answer your question.

I don't use the handle because it is not very ergonomic to me. In fact, the first time I attempted to use the handle, I developed pain in my wrist. So, I just grab the comb by the part that holds the teeth and start combing.

This is what I do. It should probably have a handle right on the back part--like a pick. That would make it even better.

Same here, I use it daily. In fact, I have three, one for the gym, one for home, and one spare (the 'just in case' comb).

Yeah the handle is wobbly,so when I comb, I grip it at the top of the handle versus the bottom.

I am in awe over your Chanel Chignon, that is beautiful.

did all of you buy the comb online?

Thank you Honeyhips. I received so many questions about the Chanel chignon, I'll try to add more detailed pictures this weekend.

Oh, and I ordered my K-cutter online, from www.ebonyline.com. I couldn't find it in any store.

I've used this one K-Cutter for probably over 13 years. I did manage to break the handle quite a few years ago. I don't remember how. Anyway, it didn't matter because it is actually less awkward without the handle.

Hmmm ive been using one about as long as Nay and ive never broke one, my handle doesnt feel flimsy at all...its sturdy. my daughter broke one of the teeth off of one before, when she was first learning to use it. but never the handle. i hope you guys got a well made one, cause mine doesnt feel/seem flimsy at all, the handle is thick and well made. it sucks that they might be making cheap poorly made ones as knock off's or somethin

jd_bdfly im glad to see you got one, im sorry i was too sick to get out the house and do ANY running around....ugh i felt miserable.

I agree with Irresistible. Although my handle eventually broke, the comb never felt flimsy. I mean I think I was mad about something and hurled that sucker against the wall. That is why the handle broke (I must have been having a really, really bad hair day.)

Do be careful. There are some cheap K-Cutter imitations out there!

Irresis: No worries. I hope you're feeling better now. My first choice was to find a store with it anyway cause that was the most economical.

CBJ: I can imagine the frustration - that's exactly what happened to me when I tried to go to that Lindell's place in BK. It was closed when I got there. Apollo closes at 7 pm I believe. And I'm pretty sure it's open on Sundays too, but it closes earlier on Sundays.

JD- Ooooh, today they closed at 6:50 and tomorrow at 7:30. You know I was too through. But I got a cute shirt at H&M though.

I have one of those cheap, poorly made ones.

I bought it from a local beauty supply & had to put satin ribbon between the teeth. I'm thinking of just going to Sally's to find a seamless shower comb or something.
