Lord.. Back in the day.. her hair wasn't very long, but boy was it beautiful! I mean, we ALL know how many on here hate her techniques, but it had a beautiful sheen, plenty of swang *southern accent*, and was pretty healthy. I'll be the first to admit that some of here techniques made me cringe, but it was pretty. One reason why I think her hair never really grew past SL was b/c she really never PS and was kind of scissor happy.
Well, that all.. Just thought about her and that pretty hurrr *ateyaaa voice*

She was always in a protective style. She protected her hair so much that she put a wig on top of a weave.

Her hair has grown beautifuly, prefer her natural hair I can't with the wigs, but I do love her channel !!!

I lover her channel too. Actually on a recent video, she stated why her hair stayed at the length that it is, she said it was easier to manage and she keeps it cut at that length. I agree, her hair is very healthy looking.

The one thing I can identify with Ateyaa before I join LHCF, my hair had the same swing and bounce from the wrapping my hair after using plenty of heat. I kept my hair about shoulder length like Ateyaa and it was nothing for me to cut off inches of hair on a regular basis to keep my ends blunt cause that was what gave me the body and swing.

It seems Ateyaa loves the length she gets from the weaves and wigs but for her own hair she likes it shorter to get that swing and bounce. I think she even mentioned in her recent video that once her hair gets past a certain length, she doesn't have the swing. I can say I have experience the same thing but that is perfectly fine for me.

I have never gotten the impression she was ever growing her hair to the lengths that are often discussed on this forum so it has always made sense to me that her hair is relatively the same length cause she trims in on a regular.

Based on my observations During her first videos back in the day, she glued in tracks and left a lot of her hair out ( i personally don't consider that PS) she did that for a while.. then she ventured into the wigs.. I'm still trying to achieve that swang !!

Her popularity really declined once she started putting wigs on top of weaves, washing her uncombed/detangled hair after weeks in a weave, and applying her relaxers from root to tip.

Alot of her first videos (other then her natural hair videos doing her swang and her aphogee regimen) I loved her swanga swang from back then LOL

If I remember clearly, was Half Wigs, half wigs, half wigs, some wigs, some more wigs, (I love wigs so I am happy to have her to review them I could never get enough Wig reviews) Then she moved on to Lace fronts, Weave and so forth. I don't remember to many Glue weave ones but then again I probably didn't look at those.

I was thinking the same thing about the glue in weave. I must of missed those. She def was the half wig queen for a minute.

I so loved those videos back then with the wigs, I always was looking to see what she would get next LOL. I do it with other Youtubers now. I so love to see what people are wearing and especially if I have it in my stash :)

I know! She was so bubbly and fun to watch! Now she about her paper hahaha...she still is a sweetie though.

she seems to be one of those folks that can be do a lot of things to their hair, and manage to keep it on their heads. she is a rough one.

I remember when she used to glue in tracks, but that was way back in the day! She didn't come on the scene with a perfect knowledge of haircare and her hair practises have improved over the years (although, yes, there are certain things she does with her hair that I would not do).

That being said, it's not all about length and not everyone cares about having their own long hair, specially when you can wear weaves, wigs and clip ins.
I don't think she's ever wanted longer hair.
Her hair has shine, bounce, swang and body and appears to be healthy. Nuff said.

For those that don't recall seeing her use glue to fit extensions, here is one of the videos she did a few years ago...

According to her latest videos, her hair seems to be in perfect condition. Very full and versatile and she seems to handle it well. It's also long by technical standards and by mine even if not according to some on lhcf. But anyway fullness and versatility is more important than length in inches that you can't handle. jmho

I like her recent video where she is talking about her hair. Her hair is beautiful! I love the sheen and the body it has. Although it isn't super long, I would be so happy to rock bouncy and shiny hair like that.

@the bolded...I remember complaining to a stylist after my hair passed SL that I couldn't get the same bounce and said that SL was ideal for that 'swang.' I miss that about my shorter hair.

I think Ateeya's hair is pretty and her channel is positive, so kudos to her. I still watch her videos from time to time.

her cooking videos are on point.. I nearly fainted when I saw how much butter she puts in her rice.. but i know it was GOOD!!! Everytime I watch her i'm tempted to use more heat in my hair.. lol

Her hair is very nice. The only thing that I don't understand is why she flat irons her hair before getting a sew in? Oh well..I wish my hair could handle as much heat as hers.
