I work for GSUSA (girl scouts) and today while at an outreach session a little girl (with permed hair, broken hairline, and a drawstring ponytail) asked to touch my fro and then said "man I wish I could wear my hair like that" I told her she could and thank you but on the inside I was jumping for joy... I am so used to children asking why I wear my hair the way I wear it or that I look like a boy... to hear a little girl want to wear her hair the way it grows out of her head was AMAZING and JOYOUS to me. I am not saying perms are bad or that everyone should be natural (to each their own) but to have a little girl actually want her hair in a fro is still Amazing! Tooo happy right now and just thought I'd share...
