ha yeah. i'd co-wash way more often cause i wouldnt have to worry about trying to get my hair straight after a wash. and i'd be in protective styles all the time.

Yepe - I will co wash every day - Baggie the whole head most of the time and deep condition overnight everyday.......and of course use stinking mtg more often

I am a stay at home Mother and my hair is always wrapped and in a satin scarf. If I need to run an errand (grocery, pick up kids, etc) i put on a cute little hat, throw on my hoop earrings, my shades & go. If I want to look real cute I might wear my phony  . When I attend church, I wear my hair down. I never use heat except for when I deep condition & I wash 2x a week. My husband never complains. Everytime he sees me with my hair out, he always compliments me on how healthy & long it's getting. This makes me feel good because he notices.

Nope... I spend all day at home frequently now... and my friends are used to coming to my house and seeing me in conditioner, with soaking wet hair, ot in rollers no matter the time of the day.

Recently I've been sitting home all day (for various reasons) and I have retained like crazy because I have completely left my hair alone.
This is definitely going to help me have a much simpler regimen when school starts in 2 weeks. Low manipulation really does work!!

I've been there.

I kept my hair tied up all the time. I only removed my scarf on the weekends when I was out and about.

My hair had a nice long resting period.

Also, I only shampooed and conditioned once a week vs. twice a week like I do now.

I used to shampoo and condition my hair Sunday night, moisturize and airdry only to tie it up. I moisturized every other day or so.

Then the following Friday I would take it down and put on some serum to flatiron so I can be styled up for the weekend.

Honestly, even though my hair was resting, my hair was not doing as well as it is now. My hair was breaking more. I think because it may have gotten tangled during those days when I did nothing at all.

Thanks for this post. I am home all day and I am usually popping vitamins, drinking water, drinking carrot juice, eatting some form of protein, or shake, TRYING to eat some form of vegatable or fruit. Doing co washes no less than 2x week. My DH just look at me like I am crazy...oh I also keep either a baggie on or a silk scarf on. I wonder what is going to happen when I start back to work...

I probably would try to perfect my rollersets. Other than that I am not sure what else would change. :)

I would wear cornrows all the time, cute fly ones so that when I take my scarf off to go out (which would be on 24/7 in the house) all I'd have to do is put on a little shadow, mascara and lip gloss to look put together. I'd wash and DC every 2 weeks and that would be the only time it would be combed/manipulated. Of course heat would be eliminated completely.

I'm really going to do this sometime within the next few years when I'm financially able. I'm going to allot at least 6 months away from the corporate world (hopefully transitioning into my dream "job") and during that time, that will be all I do to my hair.

lawd yes, what a stress booster this is such a stress booster

lay in bed for as long as I wanna

Then get up and pray

i might pick up a coupla thangs round the house

do more of nothing

* sigh * what a day ! :)

I already spend tons of time on my hair so that aspect wouldn't change. I think the only thing that would change is 1. my hair would be tied up 24/7
2.I would be able to make a glass of carrot juice in the morning

The only change would be never flat ironing and never wear it down. I would still co-wash daily just because it feels cleaner and it would always be tied up in a high bun.

I think this is what's happening to my hair. I've really gotten lazy over the past few months. It seems like before I was more into my hair than now. My regiemn now looks like this one you described.

I might move my wash day from saturday to friday, but that would be about the only that changed. Whne I was in school I was in my room alot during the day, and I pretty much lived in scarves and hats. I might do more protective styling

I would do the same thing I did when I was pregnant. Wash once a week on Sundays, double strand/twist my hair with jamaican mango and lime loc gel and leave it alone. My hair grew quickly with that style.
