My husband was the most discouraging and it was very hurtful because he would make comments that made me feel bad. I know he didn't mean it in a bad way but now he is seeing that my hair can grow. I am always proving him wrong though, and I can't wait to say I told you so

Same here. He just doesn't know how close to waistlength I am, so I'll have the last laugh and it won't be long.

actually everyone i told said it wasnt going to happen. my hair was at bra-strap length and i told one of my friends i wanted waist length hair for my wedding she said "well you ARE black so seriously dont think your not" basically saying to me because i am black all i can count on his bra-strap and that waist length is out of the question. even my mother told me she really doesnt think i can grow my hair out that long but she said go ahead and try...

when i saw my friend a few weeks ago she was like "WOW you hair is getting longer.... what have you been doing to it" and she commented on how i probably can have full thick waistlength hair, because now i consider it to be "barely" waistlength.

Well you proved her wrong. You have absolutely stunning hair, thick and beautiful. A job well done, keep up the good work.
