I was talking about hair with some of my (white) friends on sunday, and let me tell you, they are just as clueless about hair as black women are. I was telling one that she needs to deep condition her hair to restore moisture to it. I told her that I could hook her up since i have an ION hood (or bonnet, I don't really know the dif) dryer. She acted like she hadn't heard of/ wasn't interested in the process. I was watching her comb her waist length hair from the root to the end, snapping through tangles. There is a whole lot mroe I could go through, but I need to take care of my own head.
Conclusion: Whites are just as clueless about hair and ignorant about how to take care of it as many black women are. It dosen't show as much in their hair because the lord blessed them with a few more cuticle layers to absorb all the damage and mistreatment.
