JUST A THOUGHT

If we came to a day when we could no longer speak about Christ with our lips, could our lives carry on the message.

Could people watch your day to day life style and know that there is a God, and he is worthy to be praise.

or would that we the end of Christianty as we know it?

There are other ways to share your faith, besides verbally.

I work in an very liberal, anti-Christian work environment. My company has represented some very outspoken organizations who are known for their anti-Christian views. The two owners alone hate all things Christian. I have not hidden who I am to my employers, and although I am not really free to discuss my faith here at work, I let Christ show in me through loving the owners, as well as my co-workers, working hard and having a kind spirit, trying my best to love them as I would love myself.

Keep in mind, that in the prophetic future, there will be a time where Christians worldwide will be losing their lives for refusing to take the mark of the beast and partaking in the one world religion, because of the antichirst. This will also be a time where so many souls will come to Christ, that John couldn't number them (Rev. 7:9-17).

If that day comes to us sooner than we think, we will manage. Just look at the Christians in China, the Middle East, North Korea, parts of Africa, and other countries where they don't enjoy the religious freedoms that we have here in the U.S. And people are coming to Christ everyday in these countries, in spite of the persecution.

So to answer your question, NO, Christianity will not end if we're not allowed to verbally share our faith. Quite the opposite might happen.

Amen and Amen. So many times as christians we talk about Christ but sometimes our lives don't match our speech and it made me think if I could't tell you about Christ is my light shinning so that you will see him.

Thanks for sharing.

I'm glad I could share, and you're welcome! :)

That is my beef. I see too often (especially in the U.S.) where people claim to be Christian, but certainly don't act like it, they do not turn from their sins, they indulge in them. Persecution can be a blessing in the respect that it will seperate true believers from the pretenders, it will force people to make their decision regarding Christ, because persecution does not allow for fence sitting.

Whoa! I was just adding some additional thoughts while you must've been replying.

I really like this thread! :D

I just got back from picking up some sushi. The man who owned the place was very nice. I got home and discovered that my order was wrong, so I got back into my car and went back to the sushi place and let him know that my order was wrong. He apologized profusley, and even gave me a free soda with my corrected order. :D

I could not help but wonder if he was saved, because he had a light about him, always smiling, very gracious. I've seen this before, where I would see people that had something about them....an inner glow, a sense of peace and joy, something different is about them, and sure enough, I'd find out that they indeed knew the Lord.

This is how I would like my light to show! :)

I've often cried, for so many have come up to me and whispered, 'You know the Lord, don't you?" I'd be in a store, or on the train, even in the airport and a perfect stranger would come up to me and ask me that.

I cry because I wonder what did I do for them to notice; or what did I say? I cry more, because I want to live worthy of someone being called 'His'.

God has called and placed me in many arenas of life. I've met people from all levels, cultures, and walks of life. And in each, there's always someone who 'calls' me out. All I know is that everywhere and each place that God places me, I have to live the difference in what they do.

My constant and one of my favorite prayers, "Lord, that which I do not see, teach thou me; and where I have sinned, I will do no more." (Job 34)

I love you, "Denim"....;) And "Dreamer26", God is using you to fulfill a vision...without words. I love you too. :)

Thank you Shimmie I love you to.

It is a good feeling when a total stranger sees God in you. I always walk away in tears because sometimes with all I go through in life and sometimes I miss the mark and but yet God confirm to me that I'm still his child and allows someone else to see it. Awesome.
