I usually wait 5-7 days and it's worked well for me. I read Sistaslick's article and it suggested that you do a protein treatment your last wash before your touch-up (3-5 days). Check out her article: http://www.associatedcontent.com/ar...dy_to_relax_preparing_your.html?page=3&cat=69
