June 6 7 8 9 10 What Are Your Weekend Hair Plans?

Took my crochet braids out last night. Just finger detangled with Bekura Beauty Moriche Fruit Hair concentrate.

After work, I'll be getting highlights in my hair. I plan on doing a washngo after a serious deep condition session. I just have to figure out what Im going to use.

Some stylers should arrive by Friday ( Bronners Brothers Gel, Mielle Organics Curling Souffle)

I was hoping Shescentit would arrive so I could use that new Tahiti line up.

It might be a Bekura Beauty Wash day with the ( Tisane oil for prepoo, Cleansing Froth to wash with the Puer on my scalp , Leche De Babasu for conditioning and Bahari for a leave in )

I plan on shampooing with whatever shampoo I have on hand, and doing a lazy protein treatment (Aphogee 2 step mixed in a deep conditioner). I’m still moisturizing with my combo Oyin Juices and Berries, Melanin Twist Cream, and HBCO. I really need to trim my ends so I’m probably gonna blowdry and flat iron to see where I need to trim at.

I like this idea lol

It coming up to two weeks in these two-strand twists this weekend so I am going to take them down and then retwist.

THU
Mist hair with water and apply coconut oil to length and ends of hair
Apply and massage sulfur oil onto scalp
Put hair up in a bun and wrap in a satin scarf

FRI
Take down twists
Scalp treatment with Nizoral shampoo for 10 mins
Cowash with Camille Rose Caramel Cowash
Detangle, moisturize and seal hair with coconut oil (haven't decided what to use as a moisturizer/leave-in)
Twist hair and stretch in bands to air dry

I wasn't going to do anything to my hair this week but truly, it has been 4 weeks since I've given my hair a really good deep treatment. I have only been making sure that I kept my scalp shampooed standing up in the shower twice for the past month.

Anyway today I:

-Detox Shampooed with Nairobi Detox Poo
-Moisture Shampooed with Keracare Detangling Poo
-Color with Henna
-Deep Conditioning with Dudley's DRC 28 and Dudley's Cream Protein Conditioners
-Leave-in with SSI Green Tea Coconut Hair Milk
-Moisturize/Seal with QB Burdock Root and BM Grease.

Stylist washed and conditioned hair. Ive been moisturizing and sealing. I'll probably do an amla treatment on Monday, using my soft bonnet to get it to penetrate, followed by a cowash, and then washngo. "subject to change with products"

So slight change of plans... after washing my hair I put a little coconut oil in my hair and then put in a few braids to stretch it out as it air dried.

SAT
Mist hair with water, apply Camille Rose Almond Jai Twisting Butter and Taliah Waajid Curl Sealer (this gel is awesome)
Twist up hair and apply a little coconut oil to the twists when completely finished

I must say my hair looks and feels GOOD! And it has a nice shine to it right now. Going to see if I can get these twists to last 3 weeks this time.

I want to straighten my hair, but the way the weather is set up.....

I’ll figure it out and come back and post.

Friday morning, I completed the following:

Shampoo: Redken Cream Cleanser
DC: SSI Papaya
Leave-in: Sirod Naturals Fermented Rice, Bobeam, SN Oil, and SN Flaxseed Gel
Style: WNG

Sunday evening, I will:

Rewet and wetbun or WNG for the week. I'm very low on flaxseed gel, I'm disappointed in myself that I didn't purchase a backup.

Saturday:
Steam: CurlOfEssence ETSY (formerly CeeCee Naturals Avocado DC)
Used:
MHC "Olive You" instead to finish it up.

However, I took out all my COE to use next wash day. Since they are only 4oz's, I should be able to knock them out quickly and right now I'm not planning on repurchasing anything else (from this vendor). Although, what I bought I thoroughly enjoyed. Especially the JBCO Pomade and the Herbal Pomade.

I have:
x1 Ayurvedic Mask (Pre-Poo)
x1 Banana & Coconut (Protein Rx)
x1 Avocado (will wait until the next wash day to use this because of the Protein)

Tonight, I:
  • Rinsed and detangled
  • Applied ITDF Intense Moisture Cream DC without added oil, brushed through
  • Leaving in overnight
Tomorrow morning, I will either:
  • Rinse out, apply DIY leave in and EcoStyle gel, then bun or WnG OR
  • Leave DC in, top with EcoStyle gel, then bun or WnG.

Cleanse:
Slippery Yucca Root Conditioning Wash

Detangle/Condition in shower and put hair in 4 braids under running water:
Marshmallow Rose Conditioning Milk
(don't rinse it all out, leave some in)

Seal with Whipped Shea Butter and put perm rods on the ends of the braids so they will dry stretched.

I may sit under my hooded dryer to dry them for around 30 mins or so...depending on how I'm feeling.

Wash: Hask Cactus
DC: Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor...
TRIM: I did a deep trim after detangling thoroughly. Put my conditioner filled hair into 8 twists and cut 1.5 to 2 inches off of each twist.
Now I'm under the dryer for an hr before resetting my wash n go.
Leavein: Probably Mielle Honey Pomegranate..definitely a repurchase. I love it, the slip, the smell, the moisture. All of it.
Styler: Eco Olive
Air dry while I go about my Sunday. Stretch tonight with a hot blow dryer before bed. Scarf it up and go to bed.

I finished this morning..

Friday night, neem oil hair treatment to scalp and ends, four braids and a bun. Saturda, Sedr hair mask for about an hour rinsing hair first. Rinsed this out then Cassia, Amla, and Aloe hair mask for 2 hours. Rinsed. Applied honey/hair butters mask with Vatika hari mask and camellia and neem oil overnight. Rinsed this mornign and did a massive comb out. I Have not combd my hair in at least 3 weeks. Air dried to 70 % in two braid taking these down later for a 4 braid braid out.

I plan to PS everyday next week. Probably a bun. It hot and I could use a break.

I have no idea how time got away from me because I didn't even do anything this weekend, but I didn't do the gloss treatment. Last night I just deep conditioned, detangled, and did my LOC. I'm rocking my fro today.

Thursday I'm getting off work early so I'll try the gloss again on that day.

Prepoo: Komaza Pona Hair & Scalp Treatment on my scalp and Naturelle Grow Guava Fig on my hair overnight.
Cleanse: Keracare Anti-Dandruff Moisturizing Shampoo
Deep-Conditioner: Shi-Naturals Peppermint Stimulating
Leave-In & Moisturizer: Nurcreations Avocado Green Tea Moisturizing Hair Mist & APB Ginger Root Growth Lotion
