Judge People By Their Hair?

ITA. I don't judge people by their hair because quite honestly if someone were to see me in my "everyday" hair they probably wouldn't expect that it's the length or health that it is. I wear my hair up almost all the time. When I let it down, most people are shocked. But I would rather people look at me for the person I am, how I treat them, etc. than look at my head and assume anything about me. There are some things about a person's hair that can't be controlled, perhaps that woman with the thinning edges is losing her hair because she is physically sick or it's a hereditary issue, not because she doesn't know how to care for her hair. There are a lot of things going on with folks, and unless I've walked a mile in their shoes I worry more about judging myself rather than judging them.[/QUOTE]

Got this thought in another thread..How many of you ladies purposely or subconsciously judge other women by their hair? I will admit that I didn't pay other people much attention until i joined this site.

If the cashier at the gas station has a terrible weave job or the receptionist at your office has an unbearably bad dye job, your SO's mother has no edges to speak of and doesn't look like she's trying to get some anytime soon.... do you change or form a perception about the person?

How do you ladies judge people by their hair and what do you think others would say about yours? Hmmm...

Whenever I see really horrible weave/dye jobs I always wonder what is going on through the minds of them or their hair stylists. Some ladies look like science experiments gone wrong. And bad weaves always look worse than no weaves at all. I just don't get it. A ponytail is always a better option - or just keep it short if you have no idea what to do to it. Or just get a wig - a good one though - not an ole lady one that's super thick and heavy.
