Does anyone own one of these, specifically the tourmaline series? What do you think of it?
I currently have a cheap 'ceramic' one, but would like to upgrade. I was going to get the solia, but I have to order it online, but I would rather get one in-store.
i have a titinum one it was under $50 on sale. it works great and it get my hair straight. They lady at sally helped me with picking the the size i got a 1 1/2. Ask the ladies in sallys usally the manager's i made her break dow the diffrence between ceramic, tourlimine etc..
I have the red and gray tourmaline ceramic...got it for $60 at sally's. It straightens my roots pretty well but my ends stay frizzy....might be because my hair don't like the fantasia heat protectant or I just don't have the technique down pat yet.
I have the tourmaline one that I purchased from Sally's early last year (April, maybe?) and it's still going strong. I think I paid $40 for it. I like how I have the option to turn it up really high but I always keep the dial in the middle.
I have the gray & red one (tourmaline/ceramic) and it works just fine. Especially since I use it only once every 3 mos to see my true length after my relaxer
eta: the plates on the Jilbere are 100% ceramic..they are not coated which is why I bought it
I've owned one and it was good while it lasted. The BIGGEST downside to that particular flat iron is that the tourmaline ceramic coating wears off. What does that mean? Once the coating wears off its a regular worthless metal flat iron. If you get one whether high end or low end make sure that it has ceramic tourmaline plates so that you don't spend money later on replacing it. Because again once the coating wears off its just a regular old flat iron.
