I searched and got a link to the person's blog...and a link to a post on naturally curly. I think they may be a member here as well.

Her name is PearlyCurly. I just sent her a pm. Hopefully she'll come to the thread.

I can not find any information except the thread here on the forum.
I would love to know more info, but she didn't offer much on the fotki.

If you google "sponge ball hair curlers" you will find more information, including sites with pictorial instructions. Some of the sites are in Japanese though.

You ladies are too good. Its funny how when I google anything about hair LHCF comes up first 9 times out of ten.

Although, I must say, I don't get it...It looks like a big sponge yo-yo that you use like a hair curler. I think the sponge would pull my hair right on out...and I don't think it would be that easy to sleep in...I dunno....it is interesting, tho-

Ahhh like yoyo rollers! cute. I'd like to someone's results too.

Your right! It her pic it looks like she wrapped the elastic part around her roots so they would dry straight. I wonder how she did that and kept them in her hair.

Youtube video in a different language.

:lachen::lachen::lachen:Japanese HSN...:lachen:

ETA: Japanese people seemed to be really interested in adding some texture to their hair. I saw another vid where a girl used pieces of a torn paper bag to curl her hair overnight...

ETAA: I guess these people were from Thailand from the vid title, so not Japanese, but Asian. It stated the balls were really popular in Asia...I guess some entreprenuer somewhere is making a mint...:lachen:

It looked like a ponytail rollerset...the elastics weren't part of the roller.

Does it just stay in your hair without anything? I can't see that getting my hair straight. Don't you need some tension?

I think my hair in too thin for them and it may dry your hair out over time? dont know if you can cover them

I believe they are Chinese. At least it sounds like Mandarin to me. It def isn't Thai, Thai doesn't sound or look like that) And sina is a chinese company.

that said I don't get how they work, Do you use the middle section like a regular curler and then cover it so it doesn't come loose?:ohwell:
