For the ladies who are interested in finding the brown castor oil, I think this one looks like a winner. I'm gonna order it and I can let anyone who's interested know if this has the smell. Judging by the color, I think this is probably it. HTH

Castor Oil

I ordered mine from the same place! It has a slightly different label, but says the same thing--Palma Christi Oil, dark castor oil, etc. It's thick, sticky and doesn't smell the greatest. But I think that's the way it's supposed to be.

Hey Sassygirl, does it have that nutty smell the ladies are referring to?

Bronxdiva, let me know when you get yours /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Yes. It has a very strong peanutty smell. I can't stand to use it alone. /images/graemlins/barf.gif I have to mix it with other oils!

/images/graemlins/cry3.gif But I JUST ordered the Home Health Brand!!! Man. that one will have to be next. Guess I'll just look like a greased monkey trying to use the entire bottle to get to order this next one from the Jamaican site. Man...cuuuttttiiieeeee!!!!!!!! On a positive note, I have been getting a little "follicular action" with the castor oil I'm using and it doesn't even stink.... /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Ladies check out the sizes for that one ArmyQT posted it says 60ml for $4.00 the other Castor oil (black) it's 6oz for $6.00

I missed this one somehow!! I LOVE castor oil, but I've never tried this one. Thanks so much for posting this info. I'm almost done with my Castor oil too, so I'll be re-stocking with this so that I can try it.

ArmyQT - did you end up purchasing either of the castor oils? Where from? And what results?

Anyone with product info on the Palma Christi v. Tropical Isle, please post. I'm trying to decide which to buy now

Doesn't it take forever to get your order from jamaicaplace.com? I read that someone was having problems with that.

if you're in NYC, go to any haitian/carribbean herbal store on flatbush in brooklyn or any carribean store on Jamaica ave in Queens and ask for it. If the store has herbal in the name, they will have it.

That was probably me you read about on another post. Still no response, I'm a bit frustrated.

Well I'm in DC and I tried calling every natural, herbal store that I could find - NO ONE had the Jamaican Black Castor Oil
mad.gif

Anyway, I ended up just ordering for jamaicaplace.com. I realize that they're mad slow, but they're the only ones that have it. I called this morning to bug them, and I got the machine... the message said "if you're calling about your order, we're a running couple weeks behind schedule, so please forgive the inconvenience."
ohwell.gif
LaNecia, I'm just going to keep bugging them to see if they can speed my order (the squeaky wheel gets the oil right?

).

hey lenecia, If you're in DC. I'll giv eyou some castor oil. My mom just sent me a big bottle from HAiti. (it's the homemade unrefined version
