Jamaican Black Castor Oil

Ok, I had already washed my hair with my shikakai bar (loved it!) and air dried with Giovanni direct and coconut oil and it came out great. The next day, I decided to add a little JBCO to it to help seal after moisturizing with my moisture spritz (aloe vera juice, glycerin, avocado oil, etc.). Why when I took off my silk scarf this moring, my hair is all hard and stiff like someone smeared Elmers glue in it? It's like the Castor oil just sat on top and hardened into a semi sticky mess:ohwell:. What did I do wrong? Could it have been my moisturizing with glycerin first?

I guess it would be great if I wanted a stiff, shellacked edges or bun:ohwell:.

Hey there, Godzooki, many congrats on your fourth baby boy.....smile. I am so sorry your hair turned out stiff. what brand of aloe vera juice did you use????

There have been many ladies on here who have complained about Giovanni Direct Leave-in....I've never used it myself, but could that be the culprit?
