Alright so I've been lurking on Velvethalo and Justkiya's fotkis/blogs and heres what I came up with for the caramel treatment since my hair's been pretty dry lately:
1/3 cup of acv
1/3 cup of melted shea butter
1/3 cup of coconut milk
1/3 cup of honey
1/3 cup of molasses
a package of those baby food bananas
1/3 cup of BB Growth Oil (I ran out of pretty much all of my oils so I used this instead. The ingredients are : Olive Oil, Canola Oil, Wheat germ oil, marula oil, aloe barbadensis leaf extract, oat kernel oil, shea butter oil, sweet almond oil, safflower oil, castor oil, vitamin e, A & D, Cyclomethicone. )
handmixed, and put it on my hair (boy was it messy), annnnnnnnnd I got HORRIBLE. CRUNCHY DRYNESS! My hair literally turned to straw while I was touching it
I immediately washed that junk out and am currently under the dryer with some Aussie Moist to combat the damage. Is it supposed to feel this way at first, and then produce legendary shine and softness or am I just doing it wrong?

besides the olive oil. I guess I can try it again without the BB growth oil, and just wait until I get to a whole foods. I'm just mad I bought all of these ingredients that I will never use with cooking for something that didn't work
Although I did find that cooking with coconut oil set my fire alarm off EVERY TIME no matter how low my stove was, so i bumped that. I have shea butter, olive oil and castor oil. I was hesitant to add them because tbqh I haven't really been impressed with either of them on my hair alone, and I figured the BB oils had a lot more mixed in, so i didn't want to overdo it on the dosages of oils. I'll try again, but with more bananas and no coconut milk. Although I have a sneaking suspicion of the acv since my hair was feeling dry and acv has a tendency to dry my hair out. Do you know if the acv has a purpose in the mixture or can I leave it out?
