Since I've been coming to LHCF (first couple of months as a lurker:lachen: ) I know that there have been major changes to my hair, but you know how sometimes you don't notice a big change until someone says something to you about it.

Well, last night my husband and I were talking (which we do alot :p ) and he said to me "Wow...there is something different about your hair. It looks so thick and full and yeah...it's getting longer. I did notice it a few weeks ago, but I wasn't sure until now." Now you know ladies, I thought I was going to jump out of my socks  when I heard him say those beautiful words "LONGER"!!!! You know you are doing your thang, when you husband or BF tells you that your hair is looking good!!!

Let's hear some stories about when you first heard those words and how you felt after you heard them!!!

Thank you :kisses: to all you ladies who share your secrets about your hair. It has truly been a blessing to women like me!!

Congratulations on your progress!!

I feel the same as you. I have not had so many compliments on my hair in years until I started taking better care of it. I never new heating products were my enemy.

After 9 mos of touching up with Phyto and doing touchup stretches, my BF walks by the bathroom as I am blowdrying my hair and says, "Damn, you got a lot of hair!" Needless to say, I was :D !

LOL! I know the feeling, gurl!

Last week I wore my hair down to Bible Study. After my BF saw me at bible study he called me (our normal nighttime call) and he says, "Baby, your hair is growing and it looks so healthy and pretty." My cousin has also told me, "Girl, whatever you're doing keep doing it, I've never seen your hair this long and healthy." It's so nice to hear those words!:D

My hair is no where near as long as some of the beautiful ladies on this forum, but my hair is definitely improving.

YEAH....for divinefavor!!! :woot: I'm so excited for you as I am for myself. Doesn't it feel good when they tell you that your hair is growing? My hair is a little past shoulder length, and I know too that its not where other ladies that are on this board are, but it's so good to know that its actually working and its working quickly!!!

Since I joined I have learned alot of new things. I co washed my hair the other day and my husband has a thing with hair. Drives me nuts. Honestly if it wasnt for him I would have cut my hair a long time ago. Anyway we are laying on the couch watching tv. And I must admit I do have alot of hair but I am also tender headed very tender headed. So when he runs his fingers through it. I usually scream at him. But this day he was just a playing and happy. He said you know you havent screamed at me once. Your hair feels so soft and not tangling. what you put in your hair? I am loving it:D
I couldn't believe he even noticed. He got brownie points for that one  !!!!

:dance7:Amen. We are on the same path then. I guess we are going to get to bra strap at the same time!

My protective style of choice is a phony bun. I wear it everyday to work. In Nov’05, after lurking on the forum for 4 months, I started to become comfortable with the health and length of my hair. I started to wear it out on week ends only. Back to the bun 5 days per week. Well this past weekend, I went to the house of one of my co-workers to look at some furnisher she was selling. A couple of other ladies in my department were there to do the same thing. My hair is really thick now and brushing my shoulders but they have only seen me with the phony bun. They were like wow. Why do you where those things. Your hair is so nice and healthy. It made me feel good. Of course I showed up on Monday with my phony bun again and the same two ladies were telling everyone how nice my hair was and wondered why I still had the bun on. Also, my two-year-old daughter has recently started to play in my hair. Another good sign this thing is working.

BTW, about ten minutes ago, my boss came into my office and said "Hi, wow, your hair looks so nice" I said thank you and gave a big cheesy:D .

That's a real compliment coming from her because her hair is super long and always so pretty.

Wa-hoo!!!

You have such beautiful hair, sisterslick...it must have felt good when your husband friends called it out! And you are right, it is a hair journey/love affair because I never thought that I would take care of my hair the way I do now and love it soooooo much!

I visited family in June and when I returned in November my cousin's girlfriend (who is a stylist) said "I have to know what you are doing to your hair cause it is so much longer than it was this summer." I knew I was doing the right track when she noticed

Doesn't it make you feel so good? I want to encourage all those who may be just in the beginning stages of their new growing process to: "keep the faith and don't give up. It's going to take a number of months before you may see some real progress, but let me tell you, it's all worth it." I just can't wait until I see my hair completely natural and down to the middle of my back.

YEAAA! I'm so excited to post this. Okay, so Saturday, I met this new guy (friend of a friend) and I hit it off really well with him and his cousin (gotta get points with the fam). So I'm sitting down conversing with other people and I could hear him and his cousin trying to talk like they're whispering but loud enough so they knew I would hear. They were acting like they were rating me, like good v bad (needless to say they were all good :D ). And one of the things he said was, "Yea she got good hair." I wish I had LHCF on speed dial!:lachen: I was so happy. Now granted, my hair isn't as long as other ladies on here, but it was nice to know that they (he) appreciated my hair (and minus the "good hair/bad hair comment, not everyone is as knowledgable as us).

Then on Sunday when I went home, one of the first things my older cousin said was, "I'm so glad you're growing your hair out!" I was like, she can tell! It really shows! You love me, you really love me!:lachen: Okay, I didn't say all that, that was extra.
