It's our anniversary....

Ok, so me and the hubby's anniversary is coming up Nov. 5th, and we don't usually go all out for them, although I've wanted to. Since we've both had a rough time this past year, I'd like to do something special. I live in the DMV, so I was thinking about us going to the Chart House http://www.chart-house.com/ . We're big seafood lovers, in which he'd obviously pay. Then I was thinking about treating us to a couples massage which I'd pay for. What do you all think?

I'm the one that usually makes plans stuff for us, so can you all think of anything else special. It's our 4th anniversary by the way. Oh and I almost forgot to mention, Dec. is clearly Christmas, and his bday is in Jan. and I like doing something for him for V-day as well, so I have to pace myself with ideas and finances.

Thanks in advance!!

Happy Anni! This restaurant looks good. As a big seafood lover myself, I may very well check it out. I like the idea of the massages too - likely to set a sensual pace for the rest of the day!

I would print out little love coupons from online for him also....Or save that for V-day.

"Do you know what today is? It's our anniversary, anniversary."

Yes, I'm singing ToniToniTone! Congrats on the anniversary.

Damn, The Chart House? I haven't been there in a while. DH and I went there on our first date and many dates after...hmmm, now that I think about it, we haven't been there since we've been married.

As far as YOUR anniversary (back to the topic at hand), I don't have any suggestions. LOL

*off to text DH and tell him to take me to The Chart House tomorrow*

LOL, I've been telling him about it for 6 years when a former co-worker mentioned it to me. I've suggested it for his birthday and anniversaries, but we've never gone. So I hope this time we can make it happen. In fact I need to go ahead and make those reservations. I keep hearing good things about it, so I really look forward to going. If you go before Nov., definitely let me/us know how it goes.

That's the same thing that popped into my head!

Congrats OP! I'm sure you'll have a great time. Make it spicy...keep it hot! ;)

DH LOVES teh Chart House...that's his favorite restaurant. I understand not wanting to break the bank. Anniversary is 9/25, DH bday 12/27, my bday 12/31. DH got me a new car for my anniversary so DH told me not to look for much on Christmas and my bday:grin:

Back to you though...does your DH like massages or would he prefer you giving him a massage in the nude back at the house after the nice dinner at teh Chart House (I want you to prove it to me in the nude...addicted to the way you move...let me stop)

Girl that's what's up (in response to the bolded)!!!:grin::grin: How long have you been married, if you don't mind my asking? You must've been a very good wife through the year.

And I love that Maxwell song and love the video waaaaaaaay more!!! But since you put it like that, I think I may go for option #2!! I looked at my budget and it's a bit tight for a professional, so I'll take some money and get the stuff together for a home job. Great idea!!

Now any ideas or things to buy to create the ambiance for this sexy massage? I'm assuming candles, some nice wine/bubbly....

I've been married for 5 years. I feel as if we have FINALLY hit our stride (because they first two were ROCKY!!!).
I think he'd really appreciate option #2. Get somes candles, wine, soft music and some nice "lil" outfit to give the massage in. The massage from you will go over much better than one from the massuese (sp). Have fun:grin:

Sounds like a plan Moni!! Thanks so much. So your hubby got you a car for your 5th anniversary? That's what's up!! I'm glad you said that about your 5th year hitting your stride, because these first couple years have indeed been rocky for us. So with that in mind I do look forward to next year and the years to come. I guess it gets better with time, huh?

I say book a room at the Chesapeake Beach Resort in Maryland....Have your massages their and downgrade to the Rod and Reel Restaurant for the meal. You will be on the water with a wonderful view, have the couples massage, have a bottle of bubbly on ice in the room after the massage. Room, massages and dinner and you're still under $500.00.

It's one of my favorite mini-getaways. I can drive there in 30 minutes.

Thanks muchly!! :yep: I see they have a good little package http://www.chesapeakebeachresortspa.com/cp/doc/CouplesPreciousMoments.pdf, but it ends before our anniversary. That would be a good little get away though. But you got me to thinking, that I should buy some bubbly and have fun doing the chocolate covered strawberries either the day before or that morning. Still go to the Chart House that evening and break out all the goodies when we get back. I soooooo hope my dear Aunt Flo doesn't come that weekend. :nono:

Ok so those that have gone to the Chart House what would you recommend I wear. I was thinking little black dress or better yet a sweater dress? I made reservations for 8pm for the one in VA. The website says smart casual, but sometimes it's different when you get there. Any ideas or suggestions? Also I was thinking about us going out dancing somewhere or to a lounge, since we'll be all jazzed up!!
