Its 95 degrees in NYC this entire weekend.. But I have events and functions to attend this weekend.. What Do I DO??????? Any ladies have any suggestions.. I feel like everybody and they mamma is doing braid outs... If I see another girl walking around like that i'll scream..
Any suggestions... Im about 6 wks post ( but it feels more like 10)... Im trying to resist the urge to RELAX......:wallbash:

Hey girlie. Roller set your hair, flat iron the new growth if you like, then do a beautiful updo with accessories.

hard to believe.. but i have never flat ironed my roots after a wash and set. I have always blow dried them

Oh, well blow drying is fine too. I know what it's like to be in humid, sticky weather and have hair down your back, annoying the heck out of you, lol.

You know...you're not the first person I've heard sick and tired of seeing braid/twist outs! lol
What if you did a braid/out twist/out as part of a style. Like an updo and the hair exposed is a braid or twist/out? That's what I'm doing this weekend for my wedding hair do. It was supposed to be a blow out twist out but dang it I have no energy for all that.

I'm tired of seeing braid outs on my college campus. Trends spread around quickly out here! You're about 6 weeks post so a rollerset and flat ironing your roots should work great! I agree with the other ladies.. do an updo and get that hair off ur back. It's too hott for all that!

you know how many slicked back buns ive worn the hell out of in the summer? and looked good doing it too shoot, put on some lip gloss and cute earrings and keep it moving! ive got a wash and go myself right now and it's still damp but that feels good to me out in the heat

In this heat.. I'd go w/ a slick bun like Empressri, or maybe a few flexi rods to create some waves... You're tired of braid outs, how about maybe a bantu nots for some waves too?

what about pulling back the front part of your hair back in like a ponytail and leaving the rest of it out. You could even do a braidout using this look. At least your hair won't be on your face.
