I'm currently marinating in a henna gloss so I posted a few pics up to the point where I put it in!

I would soo love to try henna. Where do you get ur henna from and is there a particular brand to use? I have used henna once before and the color didnt even stick, I think I didnt have the right kind nor did I mix it right. And where do you get the gloss? I love the way it comes out on the hair.

I got my henna from HennaSooq. There's a really long thread on the different ways people use it with color release. I just do it for the thickening/strengthening effects.

eta: I thought the definition of gloss was when it's mixed with conditioner (which i used)

My mixture has honey, coconut oil, carrot oil, shikakai and amla powders and cheapie tropical coconut conditioner in it. I let it sit for 2 hours but no color had really released yet. =)

Henna's not going to put a dent in your pocket unless you buy it in 5 pound increments!

Anyway in photo 8/11 I think I reached (close to) BSB, but I'm not sure. Hopefully I'm showing (or rather hiding) the proper amount of flesh in this instance. Wouldn't want the board police on me.
