I co-wash and try to detangle as much as I can in the shower using the Denman. Afterwards I put in my leave-in and smooth it down w/ IC Fantasia gel (Blue) and put my hair in a bun and do the scarf method for at least 10 min. Sometimes after I wash, I do bantu knots and undo them in the morning.

Great job, your hair has done well. I'll be a year in jan...so i'm right behind ya? how do you like your hair's thickness? Is it thinner/thicker than you thought it would be - all the way through, once it's straightened? I'm amazed that when my hair is straight it's not as thick as i imagined, i still have relaxed ends, so i'm hopeful....

It is thick when I straighten not super duper thick but im fine with the thickness that I have.

It's a good idea to get in the habit of detangling in the shower. It will be practically impossible to do it once you are natural, especially since you will have a good 12 inches or so, if you make it till Dec. 2009. Well you can do it, it just may take forever and be somewhat damaging to your hair. Once my hair got beyond 11 inches, it was all shower for me.

Congrats on your year of transitioned. When I transitioned, I only made a year before I ended up chopping.
