since my last Phyto touch-up and I have about two inches of new growth. Is it safe to touch-up today? What was your shortest gap between touch-ups?

Yes! As long as you did what you needed to do to get ready(not scratching, no wash yesterday etc, etc.)

There are women on the board who used to touchup every 4-6 weeks and I am one of them

10 weeks, you are doing well, plus you have 2 inches of ng, that's plenty to be able to see and not accidently overlap.

I'd say go for it!

Thanks op! I did do a CO wash yesterday :( . So I guess I can't do the touch up today. How long do I have to not wash before I relax? Also....what does everyone here do prior to relaxing to prepare your hair for less damage and better results?

3 days should be good. I usually use Nexxus Emergecee to strengthen my hair a week or so b4 relaxing.

10 weeks is a good amount of time to do a touch up especially since you have 2 inches of new growth. As far as relaxing after a shampoo, three days is ideal. I have done it in 2 days before though with no ill effects.
