Thanks again ladies. I think I have spent the last 3 hours looking in the mirror, still shocked and trying to make myself get used to it. I'm going wig shopping today!!
Congratulations! Your natural hair looks so soft; no wonder you couldn't help but fall in love with it! Like someone else said: work it! You look hawt--both before and after!
Thanks again ladies! I have a question though, is my TWA supposed to be this dry and look like a man's hair? I know this is only my second day having it but it's so dry and doesn't hold moisture at all. I plan on cowashing daily, is it supposed to take some time for it to be able to hold some moisture?
So it's almost been a week since I did the BC and I am feeling better about it. I found a way to keep it from looking dry all day which is good. On a different note when I told my father about it his first question was "are you gay now" rolleyes: how ignorant is that?) and one of my friends said that I'm crazy to want to walk around looking like Florida Evans. I still like it and my male friend likes it too. Thanks for all the compliments and words of encouragement ladies!
I forgot to log in to fotki, so you'll see me as "micarae" under "guest", I am not a lurker lol! On my way out the door, but I just wanted to say congratulations to your big chop, you had beautiful relaxed hair and your natural is going to be just as beautiful if not more!
And you look beautiful....rock that TWA girl! I use Extra Virgin Olive Oil after I wash I massage in while my hair is damp. It gives my hair sheen and moisture throughout the day.
