Is your hair healthy?

Maybe it's just me...but doesn't it seem like if you have oils or whatever kind of products in your hair that it would make the strand heavier so it would sink?

I would think oil on the strand would make it float.... oil and water don't mix... you remember from high school Chemistry... the whole... polar...non-polar discussion...
