Is this style too cutesy for a 35 year old woman?

In my defense, that wasn't really the look I was going for. Honest! My twists were wet when I styled them in the AM so they were pointing south and I really thought I looked cute. How was I to know that by the time my hair dried and shrinkage took over they'd be pointing heavenward. But you have to hold your chin up and make it work. I did...(I think ).

Girl, please! I wear what I wanna wear, when I want to wear it. I don't see how different that style is from having hair pulled up into a curly ponytail. Cornrows are not a kid hairstyle, so just because hair isn't brushed up but cornrowed doesn't make it a kiddish do.

But don't listen to me, not only do I march to the beat of my own drum, ignoring the masses that make IMO silly rules (Like no white after Labor Day--pshaw, try stopping me!), but I'm also the one who shamelessly wore this hairstyle to the office. So unless you want to be thought of as being related to a weirdo (Scary thought when you think that would be me, huh?), I'd listen to the masses.

I don't have a skin routine just dove soap and water. I have started using Chlorella maybe it's made a difference with my skin

I think you look fantastic with the front pieces tied up in the bun.

I thought the hairstyle looked just fine in the original pictures. If I could cornrow without tangling my hair, I would wear that style too, and I'm over 35.

It's okay without the tendrils too, but it looked equally "age-appropriate" with them to me.
