So my hair texture is changing! When I first got my bc done, my curls were defined and 4a-ish...but now, some parts of my head is 3-ish! Does ur texture change over time?
This happened to me after two years of really babying my hair. I loved the results of my texture and still do. Right now its pressed so I am hoping that my hair will revert back to its precious coils.
Yes, yes, and yes again. I suspect that's why a lot of long time natural are kinda *shrug* about hair typing, because their hair has gone through a couple of different types, and depending on it's mood and your products, can mimic a couple more.
A lot of times, it's all about the length - the longer your hair is, your curls (depending on strand size and 'stiffness') can 'drop' a little, simply because of the extra weight.
I have found this to be true as well. The longer my hair gets the looser the 4 type kinks/curls get. I'm in my long S curl texture now. I wonder what it'll be like as it gets even longer.
Wow..that's interesting...I just had my BC like only two weeks and a half ago....I can tell my hair is growing, so maybe the curls are stretching out? IDK...
My hair texture appears different to me depending on what season it is (and the humidity, or lack thereof, in the air). And the more moisturized my hair is, the bigger the curls. Although I do think my hair has loosened up some since I first bc'ed.
Definately true for me. My hair grows in straight then waves and then kinks and curls as it gets longer. Right now the top is really curly 3b/3c and the back bottom is 4a. Our hair is an adventure and soooo fun
This is normal. I had 2c hair when I was little and then it turned into a 3c as I hit my teens. My siggy is an example of that, but now my hair isn't as big or frizzy like how it is in my siggy. I think it is because of a change of climate though. My hair then was back in Miami when it is very humid. When I moved to California my hair lost a lot of volume and looked kind of flat.
