I'm going to touch up my relaxer today, can I do an Aphogee treatment as well?

If so, should I do it before or after the retouch?

I am sure I remember the girls saying not to do them at the same time. This is done two weeks before or after you relax.

I wouldn't. keratin could make your hair revert. just say no. when you have breakage, then do aphogee.

side note: I never do hardcore protein treatments. weekly mild protein treatments for me!

I give myself a protein treatment immediately after I relax and neutralize my hair, and I haven't experienced any damage from it. I think that's the best time to use aphogee, because when you relax your hair the protein is being stripped from it and all you're doing is replacing it back to the hair. I relax my hair every 9 weeks and that's the only time I use a protein treatment (aphogee). My hair hardly ever breaks off at all because of this. The only way that it will burn your scalp is if you scratched it prior to relaxing your hair.

I always use aphogee treatment when I relax. I use it after I neutralize. After I rinse out the aphogee, I always use a deep moisturizing conditioner and sit under the dryer for 30-45 minutes.

In fact, if I don't use aphogee after I relax(touch-up), I don't like how my hair feels afterwards. Using aphogee has never caused my hair to revert.

If you try it, good luck :)

Do you think the type of relaxer you use, lye or no-lye makes a difference in hair reversion with this product when using it this soon?
( I hope that makes sense) :look:
