Is there such a thing as over-moisturizing your hair?

I am running low on my oil spray this week (the one by Carolyn Gray). While I am awaiting my new bottle, I have been trying to conserve the little I have left by moisturizing my hair only in the mornings, instead of doing so both morning and nights. Surprisingly, my hair seems smoother and softer since I started doing this. I'm trying to figure out whether I've been overmoisturizing my hair (I haven't had any adverse effects yet). Does such a thing exist?

My relaxed hair luv'd water-based moisturizers. My natural hair luvs it even more. So for me, there is no such thing as over-moisturizing!

How was the condition of your hair when you would moisturize both mornings and nights? As long as you didn't have any hair problems from doing so, you shouldn't worry too much about it! /images/graemlins/wink.gif

Poohbear, my hair was never in bad condition when I moisturized day and night. I just thought it odd that my hair seemed to be in even better condition when I only did it in the mornings. Of course, this could all be an illusion and maybe hair should be moisturized as much as possible... /images/graemlins/smile.gif
