i think as the godmother it is your duty to call and say something encouraging. you dont have to fall out or cry if that isnt you. but say something come by give a hug write a card and drop it off something. tell them that you are sad that once again they are in this heartbreaking situation what you say doesnt have to be deep or contrived just honest. as far a class goes if you tell them its for a funeral and tell them you will bring the program from the funeral i'm sure you will be excused.
