Hi there!! I'm new here with a question. I have waist length hair. Last Saturday, I had it trimmed and colored, my first time in about 18 months! I had it dyed a reddish color, my hair is dark brown. The color really soaked into my scalp a lot and is more lighter then the rest of my hair. I went back to the salon yesterday to get it fixed and the girl put darker color on top- it did nothing. She did it agian with a different red and it looks better but the rest of my hair is a different color. She explained that the hair on top, by the scalp is "new virgin hair" , and that it soaked it up so much more than the rest of my hair whicis more older. Is there anything else that can be done or do I just have to let it grow out? Thanks for any help you can give!!

I don't know much about coloring hair so I can't help you there. Please share your hair regime and how you achieved your wasit length hair!

wow, that sounds like what just happened to my mom a couple of weeks ago. i'm not sure how she corrected it but she did mention going thru about 5 different dyes/rinses in one day trying to fix it ( she's natural so it didn't cause too much trouble for her)

i'm sure she took the long way around because she's not a pro or anything..we have alot of hair color divas on the board though, so help should be on the way in a sec
