...or will any do? I want to add castor oil to my megatek and just wondering what kind to get. After washing my hair Sat. I noticed even more hair loss, especially on the front and side areas. I attempted to upload a picture but the browser button did not work (?).

Personally, I would get Jamaican Black Castor Oil from Sams247 or whoever else sells the JBCO.:yep:

If you don't get that, Personally, I would recommend that you go to a Health Food Store and get the Cold Pressed, Pure Castor. (I've also had this one as well).

I was told by Several Members, the one that is used for a Laxative is/was not the proper Castor Oil to use. (although alot of members use it that way).:look:

I use the the cold pressed castor oil and a 16 oz bottle from oilsbynature.com - I paid about 5.00 .....it works great

What do you want to use it for?

I have JBCO and KTC Castor Oil. For sealing my hair, they work equally well. And the KTC doesn't smell as bad. If you just want to use it to seal or as a carrier oil for the mtg, then go ahead and get any castor oil, as long as it's pure.

That said, I have heard that only JBCO will thicken hair. I don't know if there's any truth to that, but it's what I've heard. So if you want to use it to fill in the hair that you've lost, then you may need to shell out the money. But before you order online, see if any local West Indian grocery stores carry it. You can save lots of money on the product and shipping that way. :yep:

hth!

UH-oh. That's the one I've been using. :look: It seems to work for me. I've been using one that I got from target for 1.99 I think it's about 4 oz.

I use the CVS brand that is a laxative. It has no scent, and makes my hair so soft. I also grew my edges back with it. :yep:
