Is there a Relaxer that "shuts off" to avoid over or under processing?

What I mean is that the relaxer stops working after a period of time to avoid the common mistakes of overprocessing. I believe I remember reading about a relaxer that had these capabilities. Ever heard of this? Off to do more research...

I will relax in a heart beat if there is.

Hi Dlove,

Well, I have found that I do not over process with Phyto Index II. Love this relaxer with all my heart. Since it has a great deal of protein, increasing your moisture is a must.

Was it an ammonium thioglycolate permenant wave that you read this about? Bc ive never heard about this in alkali relaxers...

Ammonium thioglycolate reacts with the hair and converts into di-thioglycolic acid...at a certain point when the dithioglycolic acid is more than the ammonium thioglycolate, the reaction reaches equilibrium and shutsdown....

I'm not sure. Is Permenant waves are for AA hair? Is that the "jerri curl"?

Adding oils, or conditioner slows down the active ingredients in relaxers, but I never heard of it automatic without adding oils or conditioner.

Pyto relaxer ladies,

Do you find that this relaxer system aides in avoiding overprocessing and/or underprocessing?

I'm not sure about this, but i vaguely remember a kiddie perm that says "mistake proof" as if you cant over process. maybe u should start looking at those...
