Is there a natural hair dyeing product OTHER THAN Henna?

This question may have been asked before but I didn't find anything in the searches.

I have a co-worker who is trying her best to go natural, she's been perming her hair all her life. She's in the process of transitioning however, she learned that natural grey hair doesn't take hair dye rinses very well and she can't stand to look at her grey hair. Her stylist has tried doubling the dye application but of course that drys out natural hair and causes it to break off. I mentioned trying the Henna but she doesn't want to go through the hassle of a henna process, I understand completely.

Is there another hair dyeing method other than Hennas?

Please help.

Thanks

Is there some reason she is doing rinses instead of permanent dyes? My hair is so dar that it can't take a rinse at all. Even tried Blonde once and NOTHING!! A permanent dye would definitely work. I've had it done before. It actually colored my dark hair a browinish auburn colors and did the same with my grays. Now I do Cassia/Henna Treatments though because I like my natural hair color and those only cover my grays and not my natural hair (cause it's too dark....basically black).

Thank you for the reply however I'm looking for a natural way to dye hair other than Henna. Permanent dyes have harsh chemicals. Is there any other way?

I use Surya Henna Cream. It is natural and it covers greys on the first time. It comes already mixed.
