I found that indigo does deposit when mixed with a reconstructor or protein treatment. Its lije it doesnt necessarily need henna but perhaps is attracted to the proteins. I mix indigo with AO island naturals (almond protein) from time to time between full treatments for my grey roots. Not perfect but covers them well enough.

I got hi porosity hair if that makes a diff to anyone

@DarkJoy

Do you still use this method? If so, what's the ratio of protein treatment to indigo do you use, how long do you leave the mix on your hair, and how long does the color last on your hair please? Thanks in advance.
