Im watching today's episode, I know when its straight in a ponytail it is, but today its curly and looks fairly long. Just wondering, what do you guys think?

I don't know why, but I always assume that the stars have pieces in their hair, wigs, or some sort of false hair, no matter what race they are. I do know that her hair is very fragile and cannot take perms because she's said in the past that all of her hair has fallen out behind perms. Nope, I don't think it's real.

It's real. Her stylist is Andre Walker and he's the guy who... practically gave us the best hair info possible. He was the one who came up with the hair-typing category, told black women to wash their hair. He's very meticulous with her hair... so it is her. If you read his book, you'll see that he washes it everyday and curls it or rollerset it.

I think some of it is hers, but I definitely think she wears pieces along with it.
ETA: I'm looking at the show now, I really don't think that's all her hair, it's very pretty though.

Oprah has a lot of hair that she use to wear with no extensions..but she has wore them in different styles for a while now.

wait, since when is she talking about perms making her hair fall out? Just a some years ago (maybe in '06) she was praising Phytospecific?

I think she wears pieces, because the texture of that hair (the curly) looks a tad bit different from that when she was blown out. Either way, it looks cute

He washes and deep conditions it every morning. Then he curls it with varied irons to get the different textures.

She has said that she sometimes wears peices but her hair is long and BEAUTIFUL. I wonder is she natural now, because it looks like she is or at least texlaxed. I just love her hair!

I didn't see the show, so I don't know. Her hair is always on point, and all I know is I'd like Andre to shampoo and condition mine one day! :yep:

As far as the perms, I thought I heard back in the day, some white stylist put an Ogilvie perm in her hair and the next day her hair was in her scarf. I would have been mortified! :nono:

I don't know. I want to think it's all hers. If you look at old pictures of her when she was younger her hair was very long and thick so I would hope that's still the case.

Oprah wears her hair curly most of the time, however one day it will be longer in the back than other days. I think she wears a piece in the back sometimes.
