Is Surge really all that wonderful?

Okay you guys I know that everyone on this board LOVES surge so firstly, i apologize for even going here. I'm a newbie...so what can i say! I just have this question...i've been using surge inconsistently for like 3 weeks now and surprisingly I did notice growth...but it was like 'instant' growth (too good to be true). so that got me wondering was it really 'growth' or was it reversion? anyone want to comment?

Personally I don't personally love it but I don't hate it. Honestly I don't think it is necessary in my regimine but then again, I can't stand watery based leave-ins. They always seem to revert my hair and make it frizzy.

I can't give Surge pure praise for the growth I do see because I mix it in with my cream moisturizers.
I am giving my second bottle one more chance and then that's it.

I never saw the big spurt after 2 weeks of use and I have been consitent since I mixed it with my other stuff...
I put it in my Scurl so hopefully it will have a chance to redeem itself...

There are plenty of surge haters on here including those who've experienced dryness, breakage and various skin problems as a result from using this product. I reccommend that you follow the directions and use it consistently before you make your own assessment then if you don't care for it, maybe you can exchange/sell it on the product exchange forum...

I LOVE Surge. I started using Surge with WGO in a creamy mixture to help prevent any flaking issues. I haven't had any problems. Make sure to wash your hair frequently.

I'm an off and on surge user. It does work. I don't mix it with anything. I just put it directly on my scalp and wait for the hair to grow. It doesn't give me amazing results, but on average it gives me a quater of and inch more than I usually get without it. Once it helped me to get 3/4 of an inch in a month, but that is not the typical result.

I have been using it for almost 3 weeks now. Im trying to grow out my relaxer and I have had some pretty good growth but other ppl cant tell because I keep clipping off my relaxed ends. (going natural) I had a friend send it to me cuz you cant get it in Hawaii and I was really not impressed in the first week but by the end of the second, I could see a difference but works for others doesnt always work for you.

I love surge i mix s-curl and infusim leave in conditioner with it and spray...i wear braids and micros alot and i noticed a difference since i started using it...i use to have two spots on both sides in the front where there was barely any hair at and for some reason no matter what i used or did i could never get those spots to have any hair in them....but since i started using surge i have hair in those spots...i thought i would never have hair there.....

I just checked my hair for "new growth" & I think there is some... Sweet Lawd, could it be?? Here so soon?? It's just been 2-3 weeks post-relaxer... This & my Temple balm are having good effects!
Ok... I must give Surge it's props right now...:notworthy
All my products contain the thing & I use it by itself at night....
I've only taken my vitas for a short time...
*I'll sign up for another bottle*:bouncy:

I've seen rave reviews of Surge, but I've also heard so many people complain of what seems to be an allergic reaction where the scalp it red, itchy, burning, scaly, breaking out, etc. Many complain about the hair line and tops of ears being affected too. On blackhairmedia.com, at least 8 people had complaints about it causing a reaction, so I'm not going to try it, no matter how good everyone says it is.

I have been using Surge for only two days now. I bought it because I hear all these good reviews about it, some bad ones too, but mostly good, so I decided to try it. I"m afraid of getting scalp irritation but I HOPE none of that will happen. I'm 2.5 weeks post relaxer, and the day BEFORE I started using Surge I had already noticed some new growth. I think it's the first time I noticed growth so quickly, i guess it's because now I actually care. I had 1/4" on March 31st, and I started using Surge on Monday. I noticed that my new growth is SO soft and SEEMS a bit longer, but hey, that can't be. I'm hoping its' not Reversion or anything like that, that would just suck. I dont expect it to work wonders, but if I can up my growth rate from 1/2" to 3/4" than that's great! tha's all I"m looking for and I"ll be happy.
When I first applied it, I felt it tingle, and like it's SINKING into my scalp, and I think it's a psychological thing and that I was making myself feel this way, i guess i just expected things to go completely wrong. So far so good though, nothing bad. I"ll update in my journal in two weeks and see my progress.

I know I already posted about the Surge, but it is really important to follow the directions. A lot of the people who had negative reactions didn't wash daily. This is in no way negating their allergic reactions, but I think all new Surge users should wash daily until they know how much Surge is good for them.

I found that mixing it into a moisturizer has also helped a lot with handling the Surge. It hardens the hair & the moisturizer hels keep it soft.

I usually take a day or two off from using Surge. I think this has helped me in not having any of the scalp problems. That and mixing it with EVOO.:)

I am using SURGE 14 and the Ultra Max together (ulta & surge and night, just surge in am)this time. I bought the Ultra Max because the wet Surge was getting on my nerves. I have been doing this for 2 weeks and I deceided to give it a 30 day consistent run. I am now washing my hair everyother day.

I haven't had any problems and I definitely have new growth but can't say for sure its the Surge.

I really love Surge Plus 14 & the other products (Lotion Motion #9 & Woojee Cream). I have no problems with the Plus 14. This has truly given me growth. I use this product everday and now that I am in braids, I am still going to use it. I don't mix it with anything; I just spray it on my scalp and be on my merry little way. Love these products!!!!!!

Co-signing. Woojee Cream is my ish. Surge 14, never had an issue with it if I use mostly as directed.

It does make your scalp feel weird the first month. A lot of people say that including myself. I like it, overall.

They recently changed the formula to be new and "improved." Well, I am suspicious of that. :sekret: I don't know about it now.

I think Surge is only great if you can use it everyday or wash your hair a lot during the week.

I find it was pointless of me using it because I only washed my hair once a week or every 2 weeks back when I was using it. So maybe that's why I didn't notice any change in my growth rate.
